    Somebody once said to me about one of my layouts that it wasn't a model, but the real thing in miniature. Your modelling and attention to detail are just superb. Photography from any angle takes the viewer into your world. What you have achieved in less than a year is truly outstanding. We'll done.

    The more i see this layout grow i continue to be at a lost for words . Your style , the fact that you are humble and so helpful , and your artistic vision stands above many . Not as big as the Franklin you admire but influenced by every brush stroke . As Yoda once said . ' You judge me by my size " . lol ..

    Jason, there is no end to your talent and you are a true prodigy and a million thank you for allowing us to be part of your family. To produce this extremely highly detailed realistic looking layout in a year, you must have been working 25 hours a day 8 days a week. Watching your video’s has given me a whole new look to how I am using my medium on building construction. Also thank you for the introduction to Carolina kits for will be looking into them for a new town I want to build on my lay out and will try and look like yours. Jason, your lay out is beyond museum quality work and a great work of art. Once again I thank you for this wonderful video and another Christmas morning from the Great Jason Jensen Trains!!!!!

    Amazing, Amazing, AMAZING! tour of the layout. The use of lighter color for distant structures is a good tip. It's a common device for scenery not usually mentioned for structures. Kit bashing is one of my favorite parts in the hobby. It saves a lot of time scratch building unique structures. Works just as well with plastic kits.

    Jason thanks for the encouragement and confidence in the skills of your viewers. You are an insane modeler and that comes from not only your background but also how much you are connected with the right side of your brain(creativity). Your videos, at times, can be very overwhelming. Especially when I watch all of the detail that you achieve on every level. I can only hope to use some of your techniques to get half the results that you do. You certainly take the mystery out of HOW to do things but achieving the great results you do is another story. Thanks for another great video!

    Hello Jason!
    As I told You before, I'm doing some initial work in order to model a NYC subway elevated station diorama and maybe a layout later on! For example I have already ordered from a company called Plastruct, some materials like ABS and Styrene I Beams and Channel pieces and things like that. If You have visited NY, You for sure should have rode the subway! As for the el structures, which other materials could be useful for building such structures? Which acrylic colors You suggest me to weather them?

    Jason you truly are an inspiration and a great guide for the rest of us to emulate, the tricks and tips you gift us with to practice on our own layout. Just out of interest, where did you get the idea from for this particular layout, such as the marina area with all the little shacks and multiple levels and walkways, is it something that you've seen or experienced, do you photograph buildings that you think might look good. In the UK layouts tend to be of a particular period of steam or diesel and present, there's a big hangover of the Victorian era, especially with railway station structures which is were I've taken my inspiration from for my layout. As I've never been to the USA, and watching your layout grow, it's just feeding my curiosity, as always thanks for sharing. Oh and I just love the trestle viaduct, very American 🚂😁👍 🚂

    • @alexwake850
      @alexwake850 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, to be honest I've pretty done much the same, it's all taken bits of British railway past within an urban city area, sort of done up run down preservation kind of thing, I've even put in the suggestion of a canal which predated rail. 👍
