Miku, inferring from the nature of this song, seems to feel a bit toxic. Perhaps even parasitic in mind. Toxic, how? Parasitic, how? Why? Perhaps our dear Miku has just about had enough of doing things the nice way. But she couldn't possibly act as a raucous behemoth, oh no, sir. She assumes the persona of Carmilla the Vampire; carnal, direct, and blood-thirsty, yet still manages within eyesight to maintain an innocent-enough manner. When alone with her prey, Laura, whomever she could be representing in Miku's collapsing life, her bewitching eyes and sultry movements keeps the fair girl from resisting her charm. Her full attention, her warmth, her blood belong to Carmilla. She knows that this will lead to her death if she continues, but the temptation overpowers her. Laura is different, but she cannot change what she does even for her. It kills Carmilla deep inside, piercing her mind greater than any wooden stake blessed in a baptismal fountain. It tears at her, and she can't stop the pain, but continuing to do so gives her what she wants, even for the moment. She has no choice if she wants somebody, she tells herself. But in the end, perhaps the reason she can't get anybody to love her without using force could be due to... she can't admit what it is. She knows her own flaws, but nobody else can't seem to get her. A tragic passion, stained in blood. Will Miku ever be able to make peace with herself? Can she change herself for the better before it's too late? Or is it that she was fated for this eternal pain of hurting those she loves, intentionally or not? Tune in next time for Vocaloids Out of the Limelight.
I love this song!! theres just so much i can go on about! how its a retelling of a classic book, the line "You and I are one in the same/we shouldn't love in shame", how the beat in the bg is probably meant to represent a heart beat, the fact that it makes me wanna check out the actual book Carmilla from the library...

I think I love vocaloid songs so much because they can be so creative. They can be about anything at all! So many creative people who would never have access to singing or songwriting get to and the result is great!
WHOA NEW ASTERISQUE ORIGINAL DROPPPED i LOVE the beats that started with the line "We shouldn’t love in shame" like, pretty sure that's a stand-in for the heartbeat she claims she would have if she weren't a vampire (but i could be wrong) so that's GENIUS, but also it ends the song with a pretty modern feel that doesn't feel too jarring and still fits with the rest of the song!!
I LOVE THE PIANO MELODY it works so well with the whole vibe. Aaaaaaaaa I’m a sucker for piano pieces. It doesn’t take attention away from the vocals or anything, it’s just there holding everything together and I am HERE FOR IT.

The amount of times I've listened to this these past two years is ridiculous to the point that it would almost be embarrassing lol 😅 I often find myself coming back to it and putting it on loop when I'm drawimg or painting, there is something really comforting for me both in the theme and the beat for some reason... Hello! I like this song, it is very great, but, personally, I would quit the battery bass, because it gives an pop vibe (atleast for me), an that is not the vibe of a vampire, maybe replace the battery for a piano doing something to do a beat. It is only my opinion, I am not Beethoven or something like that, so, obviously, you do not have to hear me if you do not want. Good luck with others songs or covers! I really enjoyed your work.
