Sailor Moon Crystal wasn't perfect but I enjoyed the hell out of it. The music is good, I love the tighter knit story, I am excited for the next chapter of SMC. As a SM fan, it revived my long time love of Sailor Moon. Thank you, Sailor Moon Crystal for reigniting my love for Sailor Moon 🌕
The VAs have great singing voices, particular Mercury and Jupiter, here. The song is not as memorable as Moon Revenge or Tuxedo Mirage, but it's probably along the lines of Koisuru Otome wa Makenai. Still can't wait to hear the rest of the CD songs!!!
Uber childish! Nothing like Moon Revenge or Tuxedo Mirage. I don't blame the VAs, they are perfect match for their characters and they proved they can sing in many other series. I blame the composer - this is yet another Pretty Cure song. :( Let's hope the rest of the album is better. I wish they could have made a Moon Pride version with the VAs, this song is the best thing they made for Crystal
You're confusing theme songs with character image songs. The character image songs in the original anime were always very cutesy too. Go back and listen to the character image album for the first season and they even have cutesy childish monologues of Usagi and Luna making silly jokes during the songs. Sailor Moon is a children's series after all.
Brooks Austin I am aware of that, some of the old character songs were nothing better, but there were a lot of great songs like Anata no Sei Janai, Eternal Melody, Setsunakute ii And isn't a song cosidered a character song if it is performed by the VAs like Tuxedo Mirage and Moon Revenge ( although the same composer who wrote them wrote the new ending Moon Bow, which is a huge let down). Regardless this is too much. The old anime had tons of CDs and songs, Crystal has one, so it must be good and all the new VAs are great singing voices, so they really could make something good. And last but not least Sailor Moon Crystal is described as jousei instead of shoujo by the directors' crew.
Yeah. Crystals' target audience is fans of the older series, not children. If Crystal was targeted with children in mind, it would originally have been released on TV and it would have a way bigger budget. Pretty Cure is going way too strong for Toei to ever want to risk ending it or replacing it with a new series. It really sucks because instead of having different magical girl series coming out every year/other year we just keep getting Pretty Cure over and over again without a chance for anything else. It's like Precure is monopolizing the entire Mahou Shoujo genre.

Ohh apenas hace unos dias hice mi pre-compra del CD, ya lo espero con ansia. Me encanto!! Para gustos hay muchos y para darle gusto a miles de fans en el mundo esta canijo. Cuando a unos les dan gusto otros fans no tanto o nada... Para muestra estan la imparable comparación entre la de los 90's y Crystal... Cuado estaba la de los 90's, que si Usagi es tonta en exceso y muy dependiente, que si Mamoru es muy frio e inutil (jajaja), que tiene mucho relleno, la temporada de Super S tiene monstruos muy tontos, que esta muy cambiado a la hisrotia original, etc....Ahora nos dan Crystal... que si la animación apesta (yo no veo asi, es muy lindo), que la historia va muy rapido...total nadie esta gusto... Yo la estoy disfruntando muchisimo, tanto como disfrute SM Clásico en su momento, que tambien tenía y sigue teniendo errores de animación, pero que como dicen muchos, o mas bien lo quieren excusar con un "es que no habia la misma tecnologia que ahora" .... que va, no importa en epoca la hayan sacado, igual hubiera, tendra y seguira teniendo errores...y si no ya habra algun fan con el tiempo suficiente para capturar cada frame y encontrar algún error..."el que busca y busca y busca... encuentra" decia mi padre.

Ami's song however sounds really cute and romantic. I can not wait for the Mars and Venus duet, as well as their solo songs to come out.
