Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieser spätromantischen und ethnisch komponierten Sinfonie mit seidigen Tönen aller Streicher, milden Tönen aller Holzbläser und brillanten Tönen aller Blechbläser. Das englische Horn im zweiten Satz klingt echt schön und auch nostalgisch. Der intelligente und geniale nordische Dirigent leitet das perfekt trainierte norddeusche Orchester im relativ langsamen Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Wahrlich tiefempfunden!

Cannot get enough of one of my favorite symphonies by one of my favorite composers. The performance is marvelous: Conductor Søndergård, although from a Nordic country, has the right combination of both Bohemian passion and N. German precision !

I can understand that Dvorak had a talent for many aspects of music when I listen to this masterpiece.
What a wonderful performance. Maestro Sondergard is the former chief conductor of my home Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. He is greatly missed here. Who played that glorious cor anglais solo in the 2nd Movement? Take a bow please! It's performances and interpretations like this that underline what a masterpiece this symphony is. Thank you!

I'm Welsh and have fond memories of him conducting the NOW. One of my favourite you tube videos features him with a fantastic mixed choir singing 'Calon Lan'. He is seen wearing a purpose made waistcoat emblazoned with the Welsh Dragon. He obviously embraced the Welsh culture and their love of singing. He was much loved and admired.
