    Absolute steal, Ben! Do everything you can to return to factory, especially the hood stripes and pins. It’s what makes the car the car.

    • @mhmetts3
      @mhmetts3 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Exactly! Like if you're going to replace the washer fluid bottle, put the hood pins and stripes back on. Making it all OEM is where the value is

    • @SDevoAU
      @SDevoAU 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Ben make it back to stock with the how it came from the factory! Will be sweet when done!

    KEEP THE HOOD PINS!!! The hood pins, the Plum Crazy purple paint, the pistol grip shifter, it's all a throwback to the 1970 AAR Cuda. Keep it original!

    Dude, freaking blessed! That's such a steal of a deal. Good for you dude. You are always helping out Samcrac with his Ferrari rebuilds and the goozquad frame repairs. What goes around comes around dude and this is proof. So freaking stoked for you. 😊

    Keep the Challanger with same options as the build sheet, will be worth more in the future.

    Ben: starts up a parts company and buys cars to part out
    also ben: buys cars and instead of parting them out, rebuilds them lol
    Way to save the muscle cars Ben!!!

    Ben, you are absolutely nailing it! Not only are you expanding your horizons with the parts project, but you just keep on falling on your feet. The Challenger is a brilliant buy. As we say in the UK, a nice little earner. The way the content is changing by giving us lots of variety to watch is great...loving it already. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Bob

    I like the quick turn around on repaired vehicles and the different variations that this channel offers. It doesn’t have to be a supercar every rebuild. ❤❤❤

  • @suecobandito8954
    @suecobandito8954 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +53

    Home run. You can remove the shaker and place a regular used hood until new one comes in. Daily drive and hold the stripes until the new hood comes in. Great buy.

  • @frederickhillegas2115
    @frederickhillegas2115 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    You have to keep it original. Do the stripes and hood pins. That's what makes it a Shaker.

    a piece of advice, I think the audience including me would love to see footage of the cars cruising, ripping, and sounding great after you finish them. try including that in the videos every now and then

  • @danielfiske9849

    Ben back in 1980 I bought a Plum Crazy 1970 Challenger with pistol grip & console. That was a really cool car. I have to say the modern version with pistol grip is really cool. Like some of the other guys have said I think the real value is returning the car back to original with hood pins & stripes. The old school folks like them like that! Great video and I am looking forward to seeing you get this beast back on the road!

    Hi Ben,
    Can it be that the Dodge Challenger in the sedan 4 doors version was used in many states of the USA as a police car?
    Whatever your 2019 wrecked 2 doors coupe version has a great potential for you to make the car road worthy again and knowing you in the meantime it’s a piece of cake for you to realize this.
    Look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands

    You should save that spoiler for your black 'Stang, it looks mean and cool, but that's just my personal taste. It's awesome the content you have put together for us. Maybe every now and then fixing a boring car on video can do when there's not that much content around. I always enjoy whether it's a Nissan or a Ferrari rebuild, I like how you think through things the way you do. :)

      If they don't have an ETA on any replacement part it can total the car no matter how much that part costs. It could have been the hood or anything they found on backorder when the assessment was done.

    Ben, the United Auto Workers went on strike against the big 3 auto makers. That went on for around 10 weeks. Several plants were closed down. In the end, the workers got a lot of huge concessions, including big pay increases, as well as other better benefits. Starting workers will get much better pay with shorter work requirements to achieve full worker pay.

    I had a bed cover come off an F150 and hit the front of my 2017 Charger Daytona 392 (25,000 miles, redline red tri coat). It caused a little more than $12,000 in damage, and the insurance company fixed it. The body shop had to replace the front bumper, radiator, condenser, both fans, one fog light, and all the front plastics. Thankfully none of the airbags blew. Make sure you use OEM parts on the car, the aftermarket parts are plentiful, but don't fit well at all.

    I got my license when I was 16 years old. My car of choice was a 1973 Cutlass 442. It was a 350 4 barrel and a factory 4 speed for 1200 dollars. My dad said no way, no how on the 442. He had other ideas for me. So he got me a Chevy Monza. A 4 cylinder and the 4 speed iron duke engine. My father explained to me that a car and a license is to be respected not abused. The Monza lasted me 4 years and 30 MPG for a measly 300 dollars. And no tickets or accidents. But I still miss the 442. Lol

    Congratulations on the great Challenger buy. I was lucky enough to have had my drivers license during the "muscle car" era and owned some of the best. You can`t beat American muscle, for looks, sound , and cost. I know that some foreign cars are faster but only the very wealthy can afford them. You can buy a car over here, take it from the showroom and win at the track
