Sometimes I think I've seen everything guitar. Today, I realized I haven't and the world of the guitar is moving into new territory. Edith is a truly amazing artist.
Edith is excellent at using the drop tunings. I love those. My brother used to play Rachmaninov’s Prelude in C# minor on Piano. Never heard it on a guitar before. Bravo!
Can well be my favourite classical guitarist right now. This rendition of Rachmaninoff's masterpiece, arranged by Edith herself, is alone an outstanding work...how many of us were thinking it is possible to play Prelude C# on classical guitar? Brilliant technique and musicianship. Bravo!
In my humble opinion, What makes Edith unique is her approach to the instrument, not to be bound by traditional repertoire. She plays as if she was at the piano, violin or with the human voice. She is a Virtuoso, with a vast concept of what music really is, does and conveys. Very few musicians reach this level on the guitar. As another has commented: tempo and meter mark the sense of expression which is really behind musical compositions. Claude Debussy said, “Music is the space between the notes" We are privileged to be able to hear Miss Pageaud render such beauty here in this venue. We might compare her to Ida Presti in terms of importance and potential.
2:24 Although unquestionably impressive across the board, pieces that are very linked in flavor to latin cultural traditions we might assume outside of her own, with a personal touch on top of it all, are incredible. Bravo.
Brava! Good Lord, it appears we have another Anna Vidivic on our hands! Edith, you are an international treasure. I look forward to watching you grow as an artist. You clearly understand what few musicians grasp: The tonic is the soul of the piece, meter its heartbeat, chords are the bones and melody the muscle....but tempo, tempo is the breath. And tempo simply must expand and contract in interpretation or the result is pedantic to the point of being sophomoric. You breathe Edith! You breathe! God bless you, and do please perform for Siccas more in the future. Where I live we rarely get concerts in the genre.
If one loves classical guitar, it’s hard not to fall in love with this woman, especially appreciate the gentle but passionate touch, i feel it in my soul and make me able to travel in places where I never went before… It’s a bit of necessary magic, in times of need. Our world needs more of this moments. Thank you Edith! ❤🍀
Beautifully unique performance. Edith resolves the tension perfectly, even with continued dissonance. Truly a great artist. Thank you, Siccas Guitars for sharing this musically diverse recital.
I am very pleased to listen to your incredibly talented performance of such an amazing collection of absolutely phenomenal covers of this magical music. Thank you EDITH PAGEAUD 👍👏🌹🌹🌹💕.

Very impressive! But playing in Rachmaninoff culmination part stroke "rasgeado" makes me feel puzzled. Imho, it can be more natural to replace it for just a simple ff pima chord. Surely, Rachmaninoff is not a flamenco type guy ;)
How do you know? Rachmaninoff played to his strength of being able to pound away with his massive hands but he might also love hearing his own compositions played on a more dynamic instrument 😊
