    • @alexandermazilu7087

      Same I bought 10,000 days not long after it came out at the same time with Opeths Ghost reveries which had also just came out and by comparison I thought 10k was boring, and too repetitive. I was not ready for it at that age, but over the years I've had revelations with this album. Always something more to teach. After you read the lyrics and experience the songs for a while, and then years later try to learn the songs on guitar or bass do you realize how innovative and creative a band like tool is. I am blown away by the complexity of the riffs in all these different time signatures, it all just went right over my head. I still love both bands and albums, still years later going back over and learning the songs from both bands, and learning new things by actually learning the music. Very rewarding. This song is amazing, as is rosseta stoned, right in two, etc. Incredible album.

    • @shayanmoosavi9139
      @shayanmoosavi9139 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There are a total of 108 time signature changes in dance of eternity. Holy shit.

    • @mariinito8398
      @mariinito8398 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@shayanmoosavi9139 Dance of Eternity? Harder Guitar, Bass, Keyboard than any Tool song? Definitely a hard YES. Harder drums? I'll just straight up say it - NO.
      Just because a song has 108 time changes doesn't mean it's hard. You can feel the whole song. And it's not like Portnoy is leading the rhythm section. All he does is mimicking/following the guitar and keyboard on the drums which again makes it more easier.
      Something like the 3 over 4 polyrhythm from Eulogy or the 6/8 over 5/8 polymeter from Lateralus that Danny Carey does is harder cause Danny becomes (and is) the lead instrumentalist of the band and guitars and bass are following Danny instead
      Also I wouldn't quite put Portnoy in the "legendary" status. That dude is more showmanship than drumming. Like 90% of the fills he uses in every song is just some linear RLRLKK or some variation of that. It sounds cool to non drummers but to drummers like us, it really gets repetitive and boring

    Sólo Tool puede crear temas tan complejos y tan magistrales. Y hacer un cover es toda una proeza, pero tú lo haces grandioso!! No soy música, pero en mi opinión el bajo es un instrumento muy complicado de dominar. Gracias por tu talento!!

      Captain Crusty play it on the G string instead of the D string.

      If on D string freat 22, you should play on G string on 17 freat.

      Buy another bass, but don't get rid of the other one. And get some pedals, too. And maybe another bass again. For that is our way.

      Captain Crusty I recently bought a bass which goes up to the 24th fret for the same reason you have; i couldn't play some songs with my old bass.

      One of the most non-sense things ever created - a 20-fret bass. ONE semitone to full 3 octaves left. I've got 22-fret bass, but want to get 24-fret one (for example, to play harmony part of Orion solo)

    Maybe not the perfect equipment, but defenitly the right man. I play in a Tool tribute band and know how hard it is to get a similar sound as Justin. Amazing job you did here; the playing is super correct and the tone is super ;-) grtz from Belgium.

      What setting on eq do you use. I find its hard bc it can easily get either too muddy or lacks bass when trying to get the tone.
