Petra: A Traveler's Guide

The Rose City of Petra, recognized as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, draws tourists year-round.
Upon entering, an 800-meter walk leads to the majestic Siq, a natural rock formation renowned for its photogenic allure. However, amidst capturing photographs, visitors should exercise caution due to the presence of horse carriages.
As we venture deeper into the Siq, the canyon gradually narrows, revealing its massive scale. Our journey culminates at the Treasury, a monumental structure hewn from the mountains, historically serving as a sanctuary.
Continuing along the path, we encounter colossal cliffs adorned with ancient carvings, remnants of a bygone era housing theaters, residences, and tombs.
Regrettably, time constraints prevented us from exploring the Monastery. For those fatigued from the excursion, taxis are readily available for the return journey, with tipping customary.
