Perhaps the best recording of Cordoba I have ever heard. Probably the best guitar duo.

I was late for work years ago because I had the local FM classical music station playing in my car; the station was airing the Assad brothers playing Scarlatti. I was so taken by the performance that I couldn't get out of the car until it was over. Bought the CD the next day and have been a fan ever since.

Elegantly arranged and performed with lots of colors. Vividly evokes memories of my visit to Cordoba. Beautiful.
Fortunate to have seen them at a community college in Atlanta right after the Piazzola CD came out in I think 1986 or '87, right before they became international musical celebrities. front row 10 ft. away. Life altering experience.

They are both geniuses, its a amazing combination of 2 brothers, who are very different in their approach but somehow find each other when playing together.

interesting hearing a duo if this piece, orchestral it works better but I prefer a darker mood to the interpretation. It's great hearing such wonderful players though, thanks for uploading.

Every time when I want to reassure myself that a lot of young technicians at the guitar are in lack of anything, I come back to the Assad brothers. And then it feels like, Ana Vidovic and all the others are in lack of the most important part, the soul... They're both amazing...
