I hope automated backups and safe updates are on the roadmap. And a nice additional feature not mentioned in this vid is client reporting with a breakdown of tasks, SEO, and more stats
Thanks ET! 💜 It's amazing to have all these features in Divi instead of scattered across external premium services… Definitely another reason that shows how awesome Divi and its team are!
Thanks Nick, I will use it today once I disable 2FA. Can you look into building in a backup/restore option in the future? Looking forward to hearing more about uptime monitoring.
This is an amazing feature, thanks!! Just a little thought... What about security concerns? all my clients data (user/passwords) will be encrypted and protected thru ET? I mean, all my admin access would be on one place.
Can I see changelogs before I update? Does it work with premium plugins/themes? Those are two omissions I've come across in other up-and-coming site managers.
In my opinion, the 'plugins update' zone should display information about the compatibility of the latest version of the plugin with the WordPress version (according to the author), as is the case in the 'update' panel in the WordPress dashboard. Other than that, great! Thanx!
It would be great if you could add an automated backup feature with Updraft or any other free tool before updating the plugins and themes. In many cases, updates cause issues, so a backup will be beneficial.
Great job. I have a couple of questions: 1. I"m using the plugin to connect. It's a download plugin so it will not get instant updates? So for every divi dash plugin update I must re-download and re-upload for every website? 2. I'm missing a notifications system. If something is wrong or there is the need of a security plugin update , I need to get this via a notification 3. If I choose to not use the plugin but give my credentials directly to connect my website, what is divi's level of security and is it guaranteed to not store the passwords on your servers? Thanks!
Very excited about Divi Dash and its potential! Divi Dash and WordFence don't seem to want to play nicely, and I suspect that similar security plugins will cause issues, too. Looking forward to some FAQ regarding that before I continue implementing DD on all my websites.
This is an amazing "update". Great work! I wonder if "Backup Before Update" could be a thing?! I surely would love that. Even better, also having a way to confirm if the website is live (screenshot?) and notify if not after the update.
Thank you. Added a simple 10 page site. Couldn't add simple multisite (4 sites) as of aug 5th, 2024. With backup option/solution - Will be a solid WP management contender.
This wonderful! Question - I have several plugins that often do not have automatic updates and I have to redownload and upload manually - will there ever be a way that we can upload and update to several sites at once using Divi Dash?
Thank you for this very powerful tool! However, without an integrated backup solution, it is pretty much a dealbreaker and almost useless to me. I still have to access the WordPress backend of each site to make a backup before updating stuff. Or do I miss something?
Awesome... 2 takes on this ;) 1) Please make auto-selected Install Divi not pre-selected, if you miss to uncheck, the divi is installed on non-Divi sites 2) Could Divi dash somehow be stand-alone in the browser/ET members areas. E.g. My account, is lifetime, and I am "spammed" with special offer banners, and chat popping up all the time, this is really annoying ? ;) Thanks.
Nice feature, but I just tried it on my sites and it went OK with the first one, but then it failed no2 and now its all fubar in my Dash. I cant add or delete any sites and it seems to be providing the same connection key (cant use simple user/pass because I have 2FA enabled).
If your website uses 2FA, you must connect using a connection key. It sounds like something still isn't working in your case, so please get in touch with our support team so we can take a look!
Sorry but would not use a service i do not host myself. With the limited security measures in place for access to this tool, it would be a big no no to me personally. Although i see the potential i rather have a self hosted solution
How about adding basic design functions to your existing modules? Divi is getting way behind on Elementor because it's missing sooooo many key features. - Still no masonry grid function for galleries - Still no option to set the grid size for galleries - Still no option to change the icon size in a button - Still no option to change border radius on button, per corner - Still no option to have a decent mobile menu - Still no decent tab module - Still no decent icon list feature - Extreme lack in properly use ACF content - Menu module way too basic and lacking features - Slider module still a joke to lacking features I can go on and on, but after building 150+ website's with Divi and having to see you guys coming up with new stuff we don't need instead of actually providing basic design features made our company switch to Elementor 👋
I hope automated backups and safe updates are on the roadmap. And a nice additional feature not mentioned in this vid is client reporting with a breakdown of tasks, SEO, and more stats
Those things are definitely on the list!
@@elegantthemes Hopefully with alternative options, e.g.- Amazon's S3. (If Elegant Themes doesn't want to host them.)

Exciting! I'd love to see the roadmap for this new feature.
Please consider adding one-click staging and backup. Great initiative.

Not worth ditching what I currently use for this without automated backups and safe updates/roll back, but if and when they come, I'd be in.
Very excited about Divi Dash and its potential! Divi Dash and WordFence don't seem to want to play nicely, and I suspect that similar security plugins will cause issues, too. Looking forward to some FAQ regarding that before I continue implementing DD on all my websites.
I have wordfence on all my sites and it works seamlessly with Divi Dash

This is fantastic add-on but I still have my fears on how it manages security some plugins though
Amazing stuff add more features like that and some side cloud stuff to keep the product suitable and accessible for everyone ❤❤ Love that guy
can't wait for divi 5!

Do you use hosting that creates daily automatic backups?
Wonderful! Thanks for making my life easier.
Awesome, great work. Need filterable tags for me to use though! Like clients, but tags please!
I loved it! Thank you, Nick!

Great idea, but where will the backups be storaged?
Will it be free in the future too, or just for the beginning...? Thanks

@@mikeGietExperience Great!

Is there a way to EXCLUDE a plugin update?
Amazing 🤩
Nice. Looks promising!
Would feature updates be included for free in the Lifetime pass?
Some features will be included,l for free and some will be paid add-ons, just like in ManageWP, Updraft and other similar services.
This is awesome. Just what i needed so i can cancel my iThemes/Central Sync account
Note that you have to disable two-factor authorization when you first connect a site to Divi Dash.
If you have 2FA enabled, you can connect to Divi Dash using a Connection Key instead of your username and password.
@@elegantthemes Perfect! I was just going to ask about 2FA which is enabled on a majority of my sites. I'm excited to try this out!

You guys made great tools, but I don't understand why every UI looks like an app made for kindergarten
TBH this is not useful at like like it is! Without Backups and Uptime Monitoring and Activity Logs Divi Dash is rubbish.
I think it is not free for Divi owners, so thumb down.
"we are including it for free with your Divi membership"
