I was going to ask about using just a 15ft sinking tip, however your friend mentioned it! I’m aware about getting the weight of line and fly up to the surface. Which I then proceed to do the roll cast, the part where you mentioned about not stopping as soon as you have made the roll cast, has just answered a lot of my head scratching 😂 for me!
