I actually bought my swift last year as my first car, I was so dead set on getting a fancy car but after watching this channel I changed my mind. I drive a GXL auto, the best decision I ever made, the drive is smooth and I never cry when petrol prices up. 10/10 would recommed to anyone. Danko Muzi, you made my experience of buying a car as a female so much easier.
My partner got the previous model Swift GLX in July. I insisted she test druve the swift because of this channel. We are 9000 km in and happy as ever. She enjoys it day to day. Enough power to enjoy it safely.
I got the new glx manual last week. Pictures and videos don’t do it justice, it actually looks good. It drives very well (I drove it to durban from pta and back) and is very fuel efficient. From the claimed 4.4l per 100 I got as low as 4.3l per 100. All I can say is test drive it first to see if you like it, mina so far I’m very happy with it.
I like the Swift, especially in Cyril's economy. But I'm not crazy about this new design. If I was in the market, I'd look around for a good second hand GLX of the outgoing model.

Rented the previous version once for a few days. It was plain jane but lovely to drive with great gearshift and fun handling. Hopefully the new model fixes the poor NVH as that was the only bad thing about the old version...
The interior of the old model is way nicer and has a nicely integrated infotainment, nicer instrument panel hood design. It's only the rear door handle that I find better in the new one. Apart from the rear door handle, everything else I like what's in the old one.

Better to review cars at dealerships and give us content than to wait for them to borrow it to you so you can do a long term review Reviewing cars at dealerships isn't that bad considering how good you are in doing voice overs or Reviewing cars in general.
I Own a 2019 SUZUKI SWIFT 1.2GA. The car is on 98800 KM and is the best decision I have done in my life ever. If You are Thinking of Buying a swift(Old or New), You won't regret it at all, and the running and maintenance costs are way cheaper than for a Polio Vivo and Etios. The only problems are Once you buy The older ones, Change the Headlight bulbs once you get it , Make sure you Align the wheels properly, Service it properly and always Love washing it, and it will Love you back and never leave your garage.
My experience of owning a Swift GLX model has been amazing. Bought the 2022 red and black GLX, which I lost in an accident. It got replaced by a 2023 GLX grey model, and it ain't bad, but still felt like the 2022 model was better. It sucks on the hills, but it is by far a great car to own. I am not liking the new model at all. It looks weird, but I appreciate the new lights.
I bought same model new in white and after one day, I noticed two electrical issues with the car. The rear demister when turned on would retard the throttle to zero and remain unresponsive. You needed to let go the throttle and reapply to accelerate. The second issue involved the ESP Service light come during each drive cycle effectively disabling any ESP. After leaving the car with CMH Suzuki in Pinetown, Suzuki SA agreed to replace the car. I opted for the splendid silver like the one in the video. So far, no issues. Fuel consumption is amazing with figures of 19.6km/l on the open road. Only gripes with the car is excessive wind noise from the roof area. It sounds like I have roof bars fitted. Second gripe is a slightly unforgiving ride at slower speeds around town.
The looks might be polarising but ,good job from Suzuki on improving safety by including 6 airbags and going CVT route than Amt, what I think is the the new GL is the GA of the previous model,and the GL+ is the GL from previous generation, basically what improved is safety, transmission and fuel consumption by 10%
Why aren't you a fan of fully specced budget cars? That's the best type of budget car because then it doesn't feel cheap. You bought something cheap but with the nice features it feels better than the price suggests. And sometimes it has features that cars 3 times the price doesn't have like a Baleno with a 360 camera. It instantly lifts the car from cheap feeling to expensive feeling.
Driving around Mbombela today on my short drive home, I noticed 3 of the new Swifts on the road. One of them was even the snazzy GLS, so lots people are already loving the styling.
I remember going to buy a swift and i came back with a honda amaze 😅 yazini guys... the GA turned me off just because of the radio secondly the leg room was small and it made sense to get a honda ...the leg room made sense in the honda , the boot space made sense and it was cheaper and low kilometers on the clock even though I dont look cool i can fit my bags and shoes ...i am a woman that has lots of stuff .....Honestly i loved the suzuki but it didnt make sense to buy it and my bf thinks my honda looks ugly but ke i used my head then my heart 😅 8:52
They made decent improvement to modernise the swift. Hopefully this is a sign that the new generation Baleno won't have the same infotainment as all the other Suzukis. It's one of my pet peeves of the car industry: the cheapest car of Brand X's interior looks almost exactly the same as that brand's most expensive.

I spent about a week driving around 2023 Suzuki swift Automatic as a loan car while my car was booked for repairs...one of the worst modern automatic car I have ever driven if not the worst, i'm sure its much better with a manual gearbox

Muzi i need help.....I bought a new 2024 Suzuki Swift GL in April. i absolutely love the Swift and i wanted the new model however i have recently found rust on the front suspension. The car is 6 - 7 months old and has just under 5000 kms on the clock but there is rust present and not just surface rust. I used to tell everyone to buy a swift if they were looking for a budget car but now i cannot recommend a car that has a seriously alarming amount of rust on it within 6 months. Muzi please check the front suspension of your 2022 Swift to see if you have the same issue. The rust on my car is on the mount where the suspension bolts to the chassis and on the wheel hubs. I feel like Suzuki made this last batch of the old model more cheaply as my old Swift was a 21 model and was around 60000 kms and felt much better in terms of build quality. 😥 i am meeting with the dealership tomorrow and I'm not sure what is gonna happen. this is so disappointing.
@@LadyT06 I took the car to the dealership and they inspected it but couldn't do anything until the representatives are at the dealership which will happen in November so I have to wait to see what Suzuki SA says..maybe they might replace the car..we checked another 2024 swift and it had the same rust so it seems like a factory issue

Lovely car. Still think, for just a little bit more, the Baleno is a better option (cruise control, bigger boot, more legroom, etc.)

If you buy it from a Suzuki garage, they normally gives rust protection which its meant to be done before the first service. did they do that?
