I would add use hot water when you fill the sink afterwards and add a little dawn dish soap, it will help dissolve any grease buildup going to the main sewer
Nice job but I have yet to have a clog go as smooth as this. I am dealing with a kitchen one as I type and I am about ready to put a shot gun in the vent to clear it out.
Try an air soft gun and then possibly a paintball gun. Shot gun would be my third choice and then if my sink is still clogged, I'd call an electrical engineer.
Really new to house maintenance... is unscrewing the washers the same for metal plumbing under the kitchen sink? I lt looks like there is some adhesive there
@@appledrains You're welcome! I have the same issue at the moment. Tried the whole hot water + vinegar and baking soda thing , THREE times. Wanted to get more info and stumbled onto your video. It seemed like such a logical step and I'm on Amazon right now looking for that snake thing you've got ;-) . May I ask which brand you've got? Also, is that the one with a drill attachment? Appreciate your insights. Have a blessed day 🙏
Got one a few years ago. It saved me a plumber call. The clog was cleared so quickly!!

Our tub was clogged, I sucked out a 1lb hairball that looked like a mouse in shape.
Had to lose screws and pull the lever lever up 3 inches or so.
Lol, I hear you.

Nice. I got one of those. Any tips or tricks how to make sure it doesn't go up the vent instead?
Thanks Chuck you're the best .
I just got this. I hope it works. Thank you 😊
And would you suggest the hand augers that have a hand drill attachment?

Why the counter clock rotation?
I’ve used clockwise rotation while going in.
how do you know - how long the cable should be in the pipe ? did you just keep doing the cable till it reached 25 feet ?
My hand snake saved me many times and a lot of money

I'm also disgusted that someone thought it was ok to put rice down a non garbage disposal drain. 😂
