0:23 this guy apreciates, as a truly honorable man, the old school: as he decided to go after the 1930's model

It’s crazy to know that people actually drove these cars as their daily drivers back in the day!

Packard made their fortune selling cars like this (around 15,000 of the 726), plus almost as many of the 733 series if you wanted a different body style. Unfortunately, many of the sedans have been sacrificed to restore open cars, so one doesn't see many around. I believe the national Packard club lists fewer than 50. As I prefer the sedans, kudos to you for keeping one of my favorite years, in a great color too, on the road. Loved the cam at shotgun position. Thanks for a great ride! P.S. What's the knob on your dash below the choke for?

When changing gears you keep your foot off the clutch unless shifting maybe racing boots to match the gloves. Adam

I notice this has the Visionall wiper system? I thought that was just for 1931, but I could be wrong. Beautiful car - great video - thank you!

It may have been upgraded by the dealer. It also have the 8th series shock dampeners fitted, so they may have put the windshield wipers in at the same time.

My grandfather had a 1927 Packard sedan. He kept it until Pearl Harbor, and somewhere along the line he did a ring job, himself. He had no mechanical training, but he did fine! Beautiful car.

Thanks for this video. People never make videos of the experience the car provides.
Its always just idling in a driveway or overlayed by shitty music.

It might be better for the car to get into high gear a little sooner, that is a long stroke engine has bags of torque you are not using. Enjoyed the video very much.

Thanks for the ride and the memories. Good friends had several Packards encluding a '56. Two favorites were a show quality '32 roadster and Old Yeller their driver '32 roadster. I got to drive Old Yeller in several parades and cruises with my famly, kids in rumble seat, when the lady drove the "'32" and her husband drove his '36 Chevy.
Old Yeller was way nicer than any old cars I owned back then and I'd love to drive her again.
Being more rare, I love your '30 Packard sedan.

How she handle man when hitting the brakes or going into them turns? A little heavy or surprisingly light? I remember riding in an old Ford and found it to be surprisingly on the lighter side but a little too much body roll.. wasn't much different than an old G-Body Grand Prix that I originally was gonna buy up in Detroit. Kind of upright to describe, more or less.
