Vader, Exhorder, Rotting Corpse... few of the many bands whose demos lay waste to most band's entire discography. If you like it raw, necro, and teetering on speed/punk then seek out the demos and on cassette! Tape trading and hunting in the mid to late 80's was what it was all about. This generation has it easy. Gone is the thrill of the hunt and discovery. But it's great to see the spirit of that era lives on.
So very well said. The demos are essential as the first releases of these great bands. This great slab of Metal predates Vader's first album, The Ultimate Incantation which is one of the reasons it's so important. When I rank Metal bands, I have two distinct groupings. One, first recording is from 1980-1989. Second, first recording is 1990-Current. So this recording places Vader with the early movement. Thanks for posting this spectacular demo.
07:40 best Vader Song in it's Best Sound... This Demo here. Listen to the GUITARS only...... 1989. Extreme awesome. Hard banging til the end.... Orrrgassssm!!!!!
Back in the day when you had to whisper and be quiet with Death Metal stuff... Didn't want to scare the neighbors, which I did about 6 months ago when I was cutting my new album and doing vocals... They've never even heard of Death Metal in the parts of Southern California that I live in...
Remember finding this demo in soulseek back in my downloading days in the early 2000s off some guy that all he had was death metal demos...I was so fucking blown away by this demo...til this day I get goosebumps listening to it....wish peter kept his vocals this way.
those are the best moments, this demo is so killer. i had a similar experience when i was getting deeper into metal via thrash and the first time i listened to sodoms "in the sign of evil" ep
I know a lot of people arnt into this but jeez is this awesome. Kill stuff and I honestly prefer these vocals compared to the later work. Very good reminds me of blood feast a bit
I like it because it sounds like an early version of their more modern music which in turns sounds like some strange blackened thrash version of decapitated.
awesome demo late 1989 definitely the best released from Vader. I know a lot of underground metal bands but thank God for darkthrone. excuse me Satan LOL. If it wasn't for fenriz I would have never ever listen to this particular demo. Hail to the true old black metal scene
Zachary Zuba heard the same thing from one of his commentaries for either Northern Sky or Funeral Moon, you can definitely hear it on those records, the raw sound they went for, Awesome \m/
Boot Kind. According to an interview from Nergal from Behemoth, because Poland was an Iron Curtain country and the fact that for many decades they were always being kicked around by everyone else, there was built in anger and hatred that fueled all these kickass bands that come from, he said it was their version of the Solidarity Movement, only bad part is Poland still has very strict religious laws that have put these bands in trouble there, Especially Behemoth
both necrolust and morbid reich are really close to german thrash à la early destruction / sodom and kreator , and way better than their first full length album , that pretty much jumped on pure death metal sound ' s , band wagon !!!
It's kinda funny also how much Darkthrone took from this as well. Necrolust and Morbid Reich have an insane amout of Darkthrone riffs in them if you listen closely. Fenriz even admits being massively influenced by these two demos for the Black Metal Albums.
Thanks for sharing! This is Vader in its truest form. Also, if you have the time, feel free to check out the 2 songs on my channel. They are singles from our upcoming demo. I would sincerely appreciate it!!!
@@maximbalmos4908 he said it influenced them at the time in general. He also said it was their particular fucked up cassette that inspired them with its wonky sound. You can hear the influence on Kathaarian Life Code when it first kicks in.

dude that exhorder slaughter in the vatican demo fuckkn rules
Exhorder suck; past and present.
"Decapitated Saints" and "The Wrath" are simply one of the best Vader songs.
hola chaosphere
I prefer the vocals on this demo than their later material. Killer demo!
I too
It's cool!!! Like Kreator if he talked instead of yelling.
Vader and Kreator could do a cover song album together!
KLASYKA
I love the Necrophagia-esque vocals

Excellent production quality for a demo of the time. Didn't expect that. Killer!

The vocals are cool on this but I really like the way his vocals changed. They became more unique and signature.

Vader has allways been a killer band!!!
Brilliant demo, hailz from Australia
That particular recording Was one of THE or better said it was the HARDEST music back in time. Killing slayer raining blood Album back then.
Live In Decay is my favorite. This goes hard too!
Kult.. Hammer Demo!
1:16 riff sounds like the same exact riff from katharian life code around 1:26 on my copy of blaze.
Polska power!
I have never liked Vader vocals but here is an exception! Killer! He should sing that way!
didn't get old at all
Hellhammer plus Mayhem plus reading poetry in class.
Ok holy shit!!!
Gotta love the old Raw shit man,,,,~~~~>
wow, really killer, sorta black metalish
VaaaaaaDDDDDDDDeerrrrrrrrrrrrr
anyone hear katharian life code at 2:30?
Sounds more like under a funeral moon to me.
Yeah, very similar.
@@raimondsstokmanis1892 go to 2 minute mark on katharian life code and you'll know what I mean. I agree. Similar to uafm too.
Yup! Fenriz already talked about being influenced by this demo 25 years ago
Najlepsze demo Vadera! (nie ujmując nic Morbid Reich)
Minha Demo favorita, a mais fudida de todos os tempos 👊

the religious laws are the best part, there is no rebellion without laws against it

Fenriz and Panzerfaust sent me here...love this album so much and i think Darkthrone is the best BM band ever
I just took a great BM
EVERYWHERE IS DEATH *riff*
This demo rules! and I still think it's such a shame metal drums went so far away from this sound.
alez the final massacre smierdzi slayerem:)))) dobra inspiracja:))
Masz Pan rację Panie Ferdku w mordę jeża
Moja religia
Esta de puta madre🤘
That's actually their 2nd demo.
That's right but I think it's the first studio one as Live in Decay was recorded live I guess.
+rodzer Kinda. They've recorded it in some radio's studio for the audition, and they did in the first take.

How did this inspire panzerfaust?
It definitely inspired a blaze in the northern sky and a lot of black metal, panzerfaust maybe not that much
Fenris said this demo influenced the riffs on panzerfaust

It sounds a lot like some of the "Under a Funeral Moon" riffing to me...
this is just black metal
