I believe this is happening in North Mada street just north of the Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore. I think I saw the North Mada Steet and the street that goes to Luz at a distance. My father had a store called Ambika Bros a book store in the south mada street facing the central mandapam in the Tank. I have not been to India since 1979. I do not know why the broad street of North Mada steet looks so narrow? Is it that the shacks north of the temple have protruded too much into the street? Can someone familiar with Mylapore of today enighten me. I used to walk along with the Margazhi morning Bhajan group in the 50's and 60's with the likes of Papanasam Sivan, Thiruppugazh Mani and others. Very Nostalgic and happy to see women leading the Bhajan which never occurred in those days.
