assalamu Alaikum Sheikh. We have been trying to contact you for a very long time. Please answer me. We watched your presentation on the Theology Channel. Our research regarding Sheikhul Islam ibn Taymiyyah and your conclusions are absolutely identical. But we have one question that we wanted to ask you regarding Sheikhul Islam. We will compose and send it in Arabic. Please do not ignore your request.
One of the things that has troubled me the most is when some scholars refuse to contextualise received traditions to modern ways of thinking, such that these traditions become arbitrary, since people no longer understand them, I know you have addressed the issue of Apostasy Law, but I think more needs to be done to explain such things to people. One of your students (Jake Brancatella) has charged me with kufr multiple times, because I took the view that Apostasy Law has a particular context in which it made sense (context of bayah/oath, or context of war), I watched your video and saw that you already outlined many of these positions, people like Jake and Daniel Haqiqatjou who have big platforms go on the internet and tell people that "you will be executed if you leave Islam" or "if you convert to Islam and then leave, you will be executed", I hope you can be able to relate to how that sounds to the modern ears, they call us a Mafia or things like that, which is very difficult for some of us to bear. Please make another video on the Apostasy Law addressing these issues.
Jake and Daniel NEVER said if you “leave Islam you will be executed” don’t be one of those sneaky liberal Muslims please. Quote them properly, they said multiple times “under the Sharia and in a Islamic rule if you leave Islam you will be judged by the Sharia court and if are found guilty of apostasy then you will be executed”. Now if you believe that’s “barbaric” and not in line with “21st century secular liberal thinking” then with all due respect WHO GIVES A F**K. So Jake and Daniel NEVER advocated for vigilante justice so stop lying about them. Unless you can give me a video or tweet they said what you exactly said
Its time to settle the debate once and for all about which book is the Word of God... Firstly, the Word of God is a PERSON and not simply a text. Jesus Christ IS THE Word of God, and that means He is the MESSAGE of God and not simply a messenger. For a book to be the word of God, it has to contain the prophecies ABOUT the Word of God, Jesus, and Jesus has to be the fulfillment OF those prophecies. The twofold criteria that has to be met is that the written word has to be verified by the appearing of the Living Word. That's the Bible. Now, name for us just ONE prophecy of Jesus in the quran that He fulfilled? There are none. What did you just learn? The word of God was already established before islam was invented. Which prophet led the world away from the true knowledge of Jesus by trying to declare his own words over the ACTUAL Word of God sent from the Father?
lots of arabs becoming atheist based on their exposure to recently translated stuffs from nietzche and others. It is a bit difficult to gague how significant the number is but the efforts in these land by the scholars of the land seems to be very flimsy(apart from some folks like Shk Ujayri, Maher and others). They arent really aware of the stuffs that are being fed to the youngster from the western channels and what not. I d say the choice of language is spot on.
@@_zaaphiel some are, most aren't. Most scholars in western world aren't able to. You have handful who deals with it. Most scholars in Muslim majority deals with what's more needed particularly fiqh.
Leaving a religion is a multi-dimensional thing involving not only text but also emotion, life circumstances, etc. Hopefully that is being addressed as well.
Dr Haj, you look very conservative but your views are surprisingly modernist similar to Mohammad Abdu. Is your opinion on the Quran the same as that of your close friend Mr Yasir Al Kazi who said there are major holes in the narrative of the preservation of the Quran which no Muslim scholar can answer and they aren’t even aware of the great scholarship and challenges posed about the Quran’s authorship that he learnt at Yale and Harvard ? Would you like to be resurrected with him on the Day of Judgement?
He didn’t say that there were holes in the narrative of the preservation of the Quran”. He said there were holes in the narrative of the preservation of the different ways of reciting. Equating that to saying he said there were holes in the narrative of the preservation of the Quran implies that you think that Christians are right when they say that مالك vs ملك proves that there are at least two different Qurans. Are you Christian? A panjeet? Or just a Muslim who wants to spend a “little” extra time standing before Allah being questioned? Have you watched YQs library talk explaining what he meant and showing ulama of the past from even before the 20th century who said the same things.
Anybody can ask Jesus Christ if He is God or not, and He will answer for Himself, because He is God. The eternal and LIVING Word of God is a person, and not a book, and that person is Jesus Christ, the Son. The Bible is the WRITTEN word of God because ONLY the Bible has preserved the message of who Jesus Christ truly is, was, and will ALWAYS be. Period.
Needed this. Allah bless this sheikh and those that support him in this work.
May Allah (SWT) reward you immensely for your efforts.
