I have the same bike in a 46 as I am old (76) and short, 5'1" with short arms and a short torso. I have basically redone the whole bike, the frame and wheels are stock. Swapped in an All City 165 crank, Specialized 38cm Short Reach drops, Shimano brake hoods/levers, brought the stem in with a Whisky 80cm. 0 offset Thomson seatpost , Selle Anatomica leather saddle. The specs say you can run up to a 42 tire, but I have heard 50s will clear. Depends on the tire I suppose. I run a 38 Panaracer Gravel King +Super Slicks on mine. Totally enjoy this bike and ride it or a previous edition I enjoy just as much, set up pretty much the same way , a 4130 a Van Dam with 32s on it every day. I don't go that far 15-20 miles for exercise and fun. Thanks for the video , enjoy the ride!
@@Psp-id7uw I bet there are or from Taiwan, Wabi etc, but these work for me and when I got my original 4130 the Van Dam during the Covid stuff, State had stock when no one else did and I got the bike and was on the road in a week. I'm just out to enjoy the ride
The 4130's ship with 38's. I didn't know what they were, so I swapped them as soon as I got it. State says max size is 45c but "sizes of up to 50c have been fitted by riders..." I have plenty of room to go wider, but the 38 seems so fast to me. I'm thinking about trying Rene Herse Barlow Passes next. I have plenty of fat tired bikes already. Thanks for watching!
@@MulksBikes Hey I just got one. Mine was not as nice as yours. I did a quick review, but do your welds look like the one they shipped me? th-cam.com/video/l42QqClgpZw/w-d-xo.html
Just broght this but in navy blue, since the matte black and olive green was sold out. Got it for cruising here in south Florida. Whats a good tire/tubes that wont kill the budget.
My man Mulk, shouting out like a Mofo. Hit the subscribe button everybody, Mulk don't play. Looking forward to spotting your bike sitting outside a dimly lit gas station, Im gonna take that shit.
Stand-Up guy even helps the bike thieves not get caught! 😂😂😂
Considerate, right!?!

Sweet build man. Gives me some ideas for my first build as I shop around for stuff!
Glad you found it helpful! Good luck with your build👍
Awesome build!
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
Cool build buddy! Quite sporty
Thanks! 👍
Nice bike!
Thanks!
Damn the fact that you got 38s to fit in there is pretty sweet.
Can you get some calipers and measure the tires to prove they are 38s just wondering

I put Teravail Ramparts on it. Panaracer Gravelkings are pretty easy to find and are a good economical solution too
Hey, up in Stuart, north if West Palm. I went with the Panaracer Gravel King SS in the 38, very happy with them

Ha! Traveling Thru's next video: "Bikepacking on a Stolen Single Speed" 🤙
@ 6:24 into the video it’s Confusing as to why you would tell people how to successfully steal this bike?
The video would be great if you would edit this part out.
Thanks for watching!
Was 59cm the right size for you? I'm about the same height but all legs. Excited that State make a 62cm frame
Yeah - the sizing was perfect, I'm 6'4" and wear a 34 or 36" pants
?
