Props for it being manual i love when build a car and drive it to a good time and mph...when i say "drive" i dont include modern automatic cars in that. The 10r80 is amazing for sure but a grandma could go fast with that trans, like seriously no skill needed lol. Awesome build
Great question! This car runs MS109 fuel and has a VERY light drivetrain. Light flywheel, aluminum drive shaft, light wheels, and a spool. The light drivetrain makes for less loss which raises rwhp. So the comparison of those two cars are not really the same. THANKS
Thats easily doable people make 500+ wheel with blower and turbo setups on stock motor stock trans that would be enough to get in the 10s in these cars with the right setup and driver
@@michaelharris748 oh I know that! I have a 2007 Saleen Supercharged! Bone stock she was trapping 111mph with the 3.8 pulley at 5lbs. I'm sure @9-10lbs she will get up and move!
@@waltermacknight9299 for sure...same with the older 2vs and 4vs...they can go decent quick with a blower on a stock engine and are rods and pistons away from making big boy power yet everyone downs them because it isnt a coyote and their stock hp is lower
Tires ; What size / brand do you recommend? Wanna keep em DOT for open track nights ( no slicks ) Will most likely only run em on track nights.... Next buy from you is some race stars 15" rears, 17" fronts to clear the brembos. Car isn't really set up as a hardcore strip car. 05 saleen lowered ? -2" I think? Not sure what direction to go with tires for this setup. But I do know with saleen 20"s currently on it all I do it spin & pedal like it's a 2000hp blown big block!!!! Thx in advance! Lovin the windveil ;)
Yah you really need something good and sticky. If you are going with a 15 rear my favorite is the ET Street Radial R by Mickey Thompson. They are DOT approved but dont drive them in the rain over 20 mph ;) No tread.
@@BrenspeedEngineering awesome. I'll be bothering u guys as far as what size to get in a month or so and place an order. I know on the blue 5.0 swap car you upgraded the axles but your launch at 6g.... Would you recommend axle upgrades for the mt / et streets?
Hi Rick, the only gauge on that car we took the time to hook up is the tach and gas gauge. Maybe this winter when I have more time I will hook up the others. This engine has stock cams but we added billet oil pump gears.
How much are you into it including price of the car and the price of things that you just had laying around. Would be nice to get an idea for the coyote vs ls swap comparison
And l&m intake cams that is really good to do in conjunction with a cj intake they help get the most out of one another (the intake and cams) there was a guy on youtube who went from 428 whp to 480 on a fbo car that already had an 18 manifold and he got those gaines from those intake only cams and non ported cj intake. 50 whp is nice it would pull way harder up top and pull higher on the rev range
CJ and comp cam N/a stage threes also a different tire those look to hard needs something that will take the hit like a full slick Hoosier with low air pressure
I wish you would've shown off the stainless works headers. I did want to pass a long a compliment, so happy you didn't add scoops, big wing, all that garbage. My 09 GT/CS doesnt have a hoodscoop or wing and it looks pretty tame besides the bumpers and stripe. Your's has this sleeper look except when you fire it up and the those rear tires like mine. I'm running the ARH LTH with a H pipe, no cats, and flowmasters so you can tell its not stock :) Good job Brent!
Brenspeed has the best and most informative videos in great sequential order. Many others need to learn from you!!!
Glad you like them!
55hp difference on the top end is huge for the track.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@BrenspeedEngineering big fan of the baby blue balls build even though it is 3 years old.
I can smell a 10-sec time slip coming soon. Awesome work guys.
Me too, thanks!
I definitely want to do this to my 06. I love that car Brent. Best of both worlds
Thanks!
Sounds like it could use a set of 4.10’s or a set of 26” tires
It currently has 3.73's and a 28inch tire, crosses around 7600-7800.
Brenspeed the math shows 124mph should be at 7,326rpm with 3.73’s/28” tire 🤔
I just look at my data logs from going down the track.

Thanks yes the 10R is a nice auto but you are correct it is pretty easy. Put in drive, hammer it, hang on. Thanks!
Wonder why this car made more power than the red s550 video you did with the 18 mani and headers 🤔

@@BrenspeedEngineering The car is probly gonna run a 10 second pass now but you know a Cobra jet intake is the king
Maybe they took this closer to the ragged edge since its his car rather then safer tune for customers cars
I love blue balls....the CAR that is LOL! Keep on grinding with project blue balls, luv it!
The car that is.... lol. Exactly. Thanks.
Awesome runs!!! 10s are coming!!! Brent was wondering did you guys ever get a stock internal 3v in the 10s back in the day with the tr3650?

Hello my bbk shorty gaskets keep blowing gaskets. What could be the problem?
I would use an OEM ford gasket that is steel and confirm your flanges are flat and not warped. Kooks also has a nice layered metal gasket.
Brenspeed if they are warped can they be fixed or still usable?
Nice. Cobra Jet next?
Not sure what is next. THANKS
Did you lock out the IMRC on the 18 intake?
On 15-17 I prefer to retain them when swapping I feel you get a little better drivability.
Brenspeed in order to do that on a coyote swapped 94 would I be sourcing the evap system from the gen2 car also?
Those look like drag radials not slicks why not go with a full slick with really low air pressure
Because some of the classes we raced this car in did not allow full slicks.
What transmission is?
This car ran a stock MT82 out of a coyote mustang
Fucking bad ass car!
Thanks!
1. So none of the gauges work?
2. Did you guys install cams also or is it stock?

Nice man! the stripe on the California special has always looked so nice.
Thanks Jed, yes the car does not look pretty basic except for the wheels/tires.

Right on!
