@TubeDepotTV No problem! I haven't built one yet, but plan to very soon for one of my next amps. I'm sure I'll be quite often referring to these videos during that process.
Some people get a little wobbly using scissors. I'm one of them so I use a straight edge and razor knife for cutting a straight line' Also when I am drilling many holes in a straight line I clamp down a piece of metal I can use for a straight edge on the drill press.

i like this tutorial i was just wondering if you had thought of using a glue stick to glue the paper template down. titanium short bits and set the board really close there is no walking away with the bit, no need for a center punch or exacto knife and with a little warm water the template is still intact and comes right off. sure does make it a lot easier for doing one offs when you don't want to build a jig just for one amp. just a thought. that is how we do it in the shop here in TN :)

What material is the board made of? I had one from an amp kit that smelled like fiberglass when we drilled it.

What can i do whit a turret board? What uses they have?
hi, i have done the swage tool, but some of the turrets cracked on the side of press. Is this suposed to be?
Thanks for the clear tutorial on this process. Do you know of an easy way to mount snap-in electrolytic caps to these bare boards? I'm thinking that maybe eyelets could be staked to the board using techniques similar to those you've used in the video. The caps could then be soldered down and connected to the turrets with insulated jumper wires on the underside of the board. The question is, where to find appropriate eyelets? Any ideas on this?
Guess you meant star washer instead of lock washer. An actual lock washer would have given a better bite. Star washers are often used for good electrical grounds.

I have the Vector tools. Stupid expensive! You use the $200 equivelant of an automatic center punch to set the turrets. Then you use the $350 version of two bolts to swage it. The bolts work better, and with some creativity you can make an eyelet roller by making the upper bolt pointy then flatten an area around the point. I use the poorman's lathe. Electric drill and a bench grinder! Run the drill so your bolt is spinning like a lathe, then grind away. Remember yer safety glasses, & hair net!

cant you use rivets instead of turrets? the ones you use on automobile.
Technically you can, but depending on what they're made of the might not take solder well. You might have to heat it up really hot, to the point it could overheat components.
loved the anecdote about how a girl lost her scalp and half of her face on a drill press, makes me remember the end of breaking bad...
