HELLO GUYS!!! I missed you 😊 Welcome to the new season of videos 😁!!! In the last few months I completely focused my attention on competition display painting and teaching around the world: coming back to speedpainting after that kind of "training" feels super refreshing and, in anime/manga style, like I dropped the iconic heavy weights gaining a couple of new superpowers 😋 Hope you enjoy the video and let's keep pushing to improve all together! See you later at the premiere and immediately after the conversation continues live on Twitch where I'm trying to paint something for the upcoming GD 😅😉www.twitch.tv/marcofrisoninjm 😘
Great to see you back! I have a question about the liquitex gouache. You seem to have settled on them as your highlighting paints of choice. Could you explain why that is vs say the scale artist or other pastels shades?
great to see you making YT videos again Marco! You are by far my favourite mini painter on this platform. You are able to deliver such rich results in a very efficient and relaxed painting style that is fun to watch. Keep on making great videos my dude.
What I would give for Marco to give us a colour theory class. It wouldn't only apply to mini painters, but anyone interested in art. Such an incredible mastery of the colour wheel.
Glad to see you're back and even happier to see you tackle GW's coolest centerpiece in years! As always, your efficiency on this project was mind-blowing 😂.
I'm always blown away at how amazing you can make a mini look in just 8 hours bro.. This is top tier work man. Love the details you add at the end.. seems to tie everything together. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge my friend.
Your explanations of why you're doing something and the theory behind it, rather than just methodically saying what it is that you're doing, are what makes paying attention to your videos crucial to me as a fledgling painter. It sets you apart. That, and studying such a masterful process & results really inspire. It's always lifegiving to the soul to be eager for the studio. Cheers!
Just wow mate, the colour work and textures on the base can cloak particularly put me in mind of the poster artwork for a 70s horror move, something with Vincent Price in it, oh or the music video for Ghosts Square Hammer (which is obviously an homage to the above)
Wow, this is a really useful video. I've watched so many of your other videos and tried to implement your tips into my paint workflow but I feel like so many things came together in this video that everything makes much more sense now.
Marco, che pezzone che hai tirato fuori!!!! Resa finale over the top!
Glad to see a new Vid on YT ! As always, I'm amazed by your speed painting technics and your mastering of colour shemes and values. 😮 This piece, painted in 8h (!!!!) is for me display / competition piece that would take me tens of hours of work to achieve a lower result. Impressive work as always master. If you ever start a painting course in France, I'll try to be one of your students.☺
Yeah, ok, easy step, go on, ok.... holy f**k, how did you arrive to this mindblowing effect! All looks easy, but it's the aggregation of these masterfully crafted steps to bring you to this amazing effect. Seriously impressive man
humour me this. what I dig most about Marco is that I can roll a fat blunt, plug in and tune out. often its the technical insight around colour, decisions and process that I can't find anywhere else. I can turn off the vid and just listen to the audio and there's pure gold there. no one does exploration, teaching and workflow into the fundamentals of the how and why's of colour and technique. roll up boys
@14:55 You mention 2 or three passes of oil paints. Am I correct in assuming that you mean each pass is a full process? Wash with oil, let dry, then wipe away? And is each pass using the same color, or do you use a different color with each pass? Also, what is the use in doing additional passes? More staining power? Darker shadows?
So simple, quick, and with stunning results. I always gravitated towards this style, but seem to slip during the process and spend too much time with less important things. Also working with color palette and planning the colour scheme is my weak point. But definitely trying this approach with the next mini, thanks a lot.
Gorgeous work Marco! What are you doing with the airbrush trigger putting on the lobster orange at 5:12 to 5:45? It looks almost like a single action airbrush? But obviously it's double action. When I try that, I get splatters from residual paint on the needle almost immediately. Double action solves that, but I'm often too slow getting the air off and spider thin paints. Just a matter of trigger practice to get double action in a single movement?
These steps are each so understandable, but you have to trust your tools. Airbrush, inks, oils, acrylics. It all builds on each other. I can see it happening in front of me but I'll just need to take more risks with my painting in the future.
Marco casually painting in 8 hours to a god level a mini that I would take 10 hours to just basecoat.
10 hours? Slow down there, Speedy! You have me beat.
Airbrush magic :)
airbrush is op
I do envy his skill, it is a pleasure watching him work

Welcome back we missed you 🤩👏👏
Excited for your TH-cam return!
Marco Frisoni is the scientist among the mini painting channels and off course a true artist. What a professional!
The airbrush control early and the brush control later..... always fun to watch

Great to have you back, I've missed your positive beat!
Incredible work as always, astounding!
Super inspirational for someone about to attempt to paint his own Ushoran. Such fabulous work!!

I love your work so much! I have been in this hobby for 48 years and you are one of my top 3 favorite painters.
Who are the other two?
@@annekekramer3835 Sergio Calvo and Don Surantos
I have seen Sergio's work, will have to search the other. Thanks
@@alessandromone9313 Sorry it is Don Suratos, I misspelled his name.
Can tell you put a lot of focus on the explanation of your process in this one. Super rewarding to watch! Great job
Nice to see you back on TH-cam, please keep the content coming I have missed your entertaining narrative and skill as an artist
I would be so happy if I one day could look at such a figure and call a paint job of this quality: "Quite simple and straight forward".

Glad you’re back to TH-cam!
A real master at work… the airbrush work is amazing. Very clean. Thank you for such an amazing display of skill 💪🏻
This might be my favorite paintjob from you yet. Your style fits the gothic dark fantasy look of the miniature perfectly.
Great to see you back to uploading to TH-cam Marco, love your videos
Nothing will convince me that youre not a wizard. Phenomenal as always!
Hello Marco!! Happy to see you back on YT!!! 😊
Complimenti. Sei davvero un maestro, trovo che i tuoi video mi insegnino davvero qualcosa di nuovo
Intersting to see how much the early planning pays off in an efficient and smooth process. You're a real master of fast but stunning tabletop!
God tier work. You make it look so easy when it really isn’t.
Just wow mate, the colour work and textures on the base can cloak particularly put me in mind of the poster artwork for a 70s horror move, something with Vincent Price in it, oh or the music video for Ghosts Square Hammer (which is obviously an homage to the above)
Such an insane and inspiring paint job. You’re so good! Amazing work as always! 🤘🏻

Best Ushoran I've seen yet and probably is gonna stay that way. Briliant!
You make it all look so easy. You're pushing me to actually find courage to try it myself.
Great content, as always, Marco!
Always great to see these videos from Marco! He is the reason I started using oils on minis
Result and the process are both just breathtaking!

Amazing tutorial! The final result is really stunning !
Wow amazing how that progressed. This type of stuff is awe inspiring. As a novice this to me seems like magic.
I taught I was a good painter until I watch Marco's creations : now i'm feeling like a baboon with a brush !

Outstanding work my friend
I mean …… just amazing. Stunning piece.
Grande Marco, sempre impeccabile
Missed you too dude, good to have you back with an absolutely great video. Oils are scary as F### after hours of painting, but man they work SO well.
The dirty matted fur of his cloak is extremely well done. Bravo! 👏

That one is awesome.. I really wanna try your technique on a larger model.
Love watching your videos. No idea what you're talking about and will never put any of this in to practice but enjoyable all the same 😅
blew my mind... as usual. Need to view this video 10 times, at least, to understand all the details
Wow dude amazing, thankyou for sharing 🙏
Marco, We need more of these videos brother.
Great to see you back on YT. As an old technophobe, I don't understand Twitch ;-)
These steps are each so understandable, but you have to trust your tools. Airbrush, inks, oils, acrylics. It all builds on each other. I can see it happening in front of me but I'll just need to take more risks with my painting in the future.
Awesome video! Sad i couldn't get into any of your classes at Adepticon but looking forward to hopefully seeing you there!
