I live in Victoria and do not have a dryer, once or twice each Winter I will go to the coin laundry to dry my clothes mostly the line is fine. I agree the postage is outrageous here for parcels; I can get parcels sent from the US to Australia cheaper. Coles did try selling general merchandise in some of their large stores about a decade ago however they have since abandoned it.
Kitchens and laundries are separate for sanitary reasons .Dryers are good for finishing off drying from the clothesline when clothes are slightly damp.
Even in the winter we experienced this year it was still warmer than summer in the UK 😅 so maybe I'm just not used to the cold yet but I've always been lucky to get my washing dry 😊
Online shopping is usually overnight now and Amazon is FREE😊😊😊. Things close earlier because nobody wants to work late just so you can have a tub of icecream at 11:30pm. No one wants to be rowing through the gears of a manual transmission on the 6th biggest continent (Australia) when I can have a auto and just put it in Drive. You make some very valid points, great vid.. Up the mullet.

The air is dry in winter making it perfect for drying clothes and warm to hot in summer. Absolutely no reason to add your electricity bill. Who doesn’t love the smell of air dried sheets and towels?

Was a interesting reaction. One of the differences I noticed in the UK was that there were fewer independent fruit and veg shops and fewer neighbourhood bakeries. Here, these are more common. Have you noticed this too? I think older vehicles here do not have as much rust due to the weather being very different. Also, many people here, but not all, do not judge others on the age or type of vehicle. If it is still working well and is enjoyable to drive, people will often keep it longer. You are right about automatic cars being very common here.
I've lived 4 cities in Australia, including 5 apartments in one city and 5 in another, and only one of them had washing machine taps in the kitchen. It was weird at first but I got used to it. Agree about the clothes dryer , lived in Tassie 55 years and neither me or my parents or daughter have ever owned a clothes dryer. I never really associated redheads with Scotland , I guess I just thought of Scotland male teens as all having skinheads or shaved heads whatever you want to call it , maybe it's from movies or something I have seen on Scotland . Also am surprised at the huge difference in Scottish accents between you and a Scottish TH-camr that I watch regularly called " Beth roars", must be from opposite parts of Scotland as sound nothing like each other 😃

I don't really get it with the mullets...it used to be extinct but I think some famous football (AFL/NRL) players had them and they seemed to have triggered a resurgence. Even my nieces partner had one when he was younger (yes he plays soccer) but changed his style later on. I find it a little weird and feel like I've passed through a time warp or something....I'm just waiting for the 80's and 90's music to play from the radio.
