    One of my favorites in my Christian Music. Just miss the old days. They played in El Salvador a few years ago for free, they are missionaries ❤

    Wish I had gotten to see Newsboys live with John James as frontman. First time I got to see them was on the Love Liberty Disco tour. Which was fantastic, but yeah wish I had caught them in the earlier years.

    I love seeing John dance.♥ He's so energetic. And I love his voice.
    Peter was killing it with his drum skills.

    Wow ! Thanks so much for posting this great piece of history from my glory days of Christian concerts ! This tour was the first time I saw them live. I came to faith in '89 and began to discover Christian bands around 1990ish. Early Newsboys were top of my list. Thanks again for bringing this memory !

    I remember several things about this era of the Newsboys. 1. How weird John James was. 2. How much energy he brought to a live show. 3. How much better their concerts were than their albums (IMO).

    • @christophertvf
      @christophertvf 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John James is a little weird but during that time. 1. It is called drugs. 2 It is called coke. 3. He sings some live, but the chorus is dubbed, it's very obvious. But still very entertaining.

    This Not Ashamed tour came to my church September 17th in 1993(it was a busy day I remember details- lol) - this was pretty much what I remember the show being like. Good times!
    As far as John James testimony goes I think his drug problems were a few years later. Hard to hide habits for too long, but he was always physically fit.

    I miss John James, played the drums! John James and Peter Fuller were the original newsboys FROM Australia. Now it seems like they are confused if there newsboys or newgirls or something like that. I no John James didn't want the fame and left the newsboys and went back home to Australia. And Peter Fuller continued and the band members changed every 3 to 6 month's. I'm really confused what their name stands for anymore. It's not. Newsboys with John James and Oi!!!!
