Which VISA is best when applying for residency?

I’m doing research now on j1 research visa and i have the option to get the h1b…should i get h1b visa while doing research and then apply to the match with h1b visa or should i stay on j1 visas? What do you think?

Thank you for such an informative video! I have a question of you could answer. How long does it take to get a green card on a H1b visa if a resident doesn’t want to enter fellowship?

If you finish residency on an h1 visa you can start working right away, anyone can hire you, your new employer will become your visa sponsor and once you work 3 years for them you can request green card status.

I think you can still get married under J1, you just can't adjust your status to a permanent resident.

That’s right you can get married but not adjust it.
