Even this is a 4 year old video I still managed to get my lap times from 2:25 with a whole load of mistakes down to a 2:19 and I know it can go faster. Thank you very much for this video.
Hi mate thanks for your vid I have always don my own setup ,but use your as a reference, but I always share your videos when someone ask me for setup ,and I have got great feedback from the guys ,so keep up the videos
Had my own setup doing 2.20.1xx switched over to your setup did a 2.18.8xx first day, still need some to get used to the setup so my time will improve, really appreciate your effort and work. Thank you very very much. Liked ur vid and subscribed ;)
Another 2:20 lap from me, I'm missing something..I just can't get the rear to grip through slow corners it's always over rotating and feeling nervous so I land up having to slow down a lot more. Solid setup cause as with the Ferrari I can hit Eau Rouge flat and coming onto the back straight section I don't have to lift which is nice
In the low speed stuff it is a balancing act with the pedals to get the weight distributed and balanced correctly. So if you’re losing the rear just put a little throttle in to load up the rear tires, or the front keep some brake on to keep it loaded. All about that pedal work
@@WJL31 found that very true at nurgburg too especially sector 1.rear slides out very easy, but she's great out of corners. Have to be more patient on throttle too compared to others. S1 like T1-4 have to use brake and gas like rudder pedals
Thx for the setup! I was struggling in fast corners, GTR just didn't listen to me with ACC setups, turning was delayed and not stable. With this setup I can flat out last fast section and Eau Rouge, well still have to practise but I can feel that is possible (I'm like only 3 weeks in sim racing and ACC at this point.)
Hey William, great content mate, love more on the zilla, never wanted to drive it, but I found the beast is suited for me, always wanting to squeeze more out of this rice cooker, so please can we get some more setups especially silverstone, brands, Leguna, Monza, bathurst Thanks keep them coming, fantastic channel
I think after the update things have changed a bit, i put the rear wing 1 tick up for extra downforce and now I don't need to fight the car and it drives a bit quicker. 2.18.0xx
Heya, I'm new to acc and was wondering if this set-up still works well with current version of the game. I've heard there were a few major updates to acc, but am unsure about what exactly changed. Thanks!
Not sure if the setup needs updating due to the new tyre update. I try to be as careful as possible and not be aggressive on the curbs but I could not get passed 2'19'0 mark with this setup. For default-aggressive i can only do 2'20 mids. In the new M4 I can easily get 2'19'2 on default aggressive setup. Any suggestions?
Jesus, my PB is about 20 seconds slower. A different car with default aggressive setup, but still... 20 seconds?! 20!! Damn, I suck. I can see halving the difference with setup and knowing the track limits (which I just couldn't figure out on my own from driving the track), but have no idea where/how to gain the rest of that time. Practice, I guess. Well, dammit. Looks like I have to have some fun if I wanna improve. There are worse ways to spend a day. Thanks for these vids! Big help.
Nah you don’t suck. I cannot tell you how many miles around Spa I’ve done, and I still mess it up and am far from perfect. There is no substitution for seat time. Just keep running laps! What car are you using?
@@WJL31 Laps it will be! Lately the McLaren. But before that I spent most of my time in the Huracan. I actually had misremembered my PB. I was "only" 10 seconds behind you, not 20. Had to turn on the game to find out. But I'm still a noob to using a wheel and pedals. So I have plenty of room to grow yet. I now think I can squeak another 3-6 seconds off with knowing track limits, and if I reeeeeally get down and understand set up like you do. But I can't see me ever getting to your time. I just don't get how you guys do it. Those final 4-7 seconds will take forever to whittle away. But that's okay... it's fun getting there!
@@Quazi-Moto aiming for lap time can get exhausting. Focus on keeping it clean, and smooth. Enjoy the laps! Completing a good string of laps is always rewarding regardless of you pace.
@@WJL31 "Focus on keeping it clean, and smooth." Good call. I really do need to focus on cleaning it waaaayyyy up. 1 of 9 laps clean is a pretty terrible average. But again, it's down to those track limits. I used to think the white line was death. Both wheels outside it, and auto-invalidate. Now I (mostly) know where I can and can't go, so it's now just a matter of actually doing it well. Thanks for the advice!
Hey WJL, really appreciating this video. Trying to prepare for a league race with this car at Spa and I was quite struggling with aero stall in Eau Rouge/Radillon and Blanchimont, your setup seems to have fixed that. I was starting off with the aggressive setup just like you, yet I was going into the wrong direction with every click. Looking at your dampers in Motec, they are close to perfect, which I mostly fail to achieve in the Nissan. It's quite tough to get them right, I understand your struggle. I have one question though - you say the car is almost not bottoming out in Eau Rouge. Your video is from february, so pre-1.3.10-patch where the sounds for bottoming out were enhanced and can now be adjusted freely from other sounds in the options. Doing so you (or I) can still hear and feel the car bottoming out quite a lot in Eau Rouge. The patch also brought some slight changes to the damping. Would you still run the setup like that or do you feel it's worth changing something? Personally I feel like this setup is still perfectly fine and works like a charm.
thee Mitchi I haven’t looked into what really changed in the patch so I would just say if it still feels good I would still drive it. It can be very frustrating at spa just because you do so much setup for one corner then try to get a balance everywhere else. I appreciate the kind words and support!
Thank you for the video! Sadly, I am unable to drive car stable with the setup, oversteer in slow corners and understeer in fast corners (I am playing using gamepad). Any tips how to compensate gamepad limitations (in comparison to wheel and pedals) which can improve car behaviour? For example, I can't go flat-out through Eau Rouge like you which is weird. I definitely have much to learn about driving in this game but I hope that the setup can be tweaked somehow.
So I only drive front engined rw drive cars and so far only the Bentley. With it I do a 2,18.4 and I am now wandering what times are possible with the GTR
LegendACB aim for 32psi on the wet tires. Increase downforce, more TC and ABS. Also don’t forget to lower the brake ducts to keep them nice and warm. Light rain shouldn’t require much more than that.
Jared van Bergen I’m on an ultra wide monitor. So I tried to get that bit of the UI in the center, but it didn’t seem to move at all. I’ll see if I can figure it out
