Gaynor was right. There's definitely places police don't go.
Facts, my sister lived on a street in Memphis for a few years (right after Katrina) and she said that police never went there, even if they were called. She said bodies would rot on the street for days sometimes.
100% true. It is WAY WORSE than they realize.
Yeah. It shouldn't be that way but it is. A lot of police departments just aren't big enough. And people still want to cut their funding. 🤷♂
4:55 the worst question you could ask someone from the streets is if they're a snitch, lmaoo
Definitely not the worst
And then they wonder why their communities can never catch a "break" their own worst enemies
Not the worst
In areas like this if you aren't watching everything you are a victim.
You notice they all look back and forth. The longer the interviewer is there he starts doing it too.
My dad used to live in an area of St. louis in the 90's where the police wouldn't go unless they absolutely had to. Robberies, gang violence, killings were the norm there at the time. I had visited there a few times and saw firsthand how bad it was. It was really bad during New Year's eve and, for some reason, when the Rams or Cardinals lost big games. My dad told me about a time when two dudes broke into my dad's and step-mom's townhouse while they were still inside and my step-mom's brother grabbed a shot gun and started blasting. The guys ran out and my step-uncle chased them down the road. The cops never came even though they were called.
Luckily it’s not as bad as people make it sound anymore. The probability of getting mugged is way higher that being shot unless you are in North County. I will agree it is smart to not to go out on NYE though 😅
New Orleans has been like this forever in parts... after Katrina, everywhere was the bad place.
Not surprised. Each time I’ve gone to NO, everyone warns me to stay within the tourist area, and the locals will openly warn you about the crime. One guy told me he places his gun on his dashboard to discourage attackers and let them know he’s not afraid of using it; he had a close encounter where he drew his gun on some people while they approached him while he was at a red light. A woman told me she was tired of taking her gun to church - the commute was getting dangerous - so she told her husband it was time to leave.
Funny how the abbreviation is NO. Lol, everything tells you not to go there.
@@MrYabber It’s actually NOLA, representing both the city and state, but I get what you are saying. Even the traditional homes are called “shotgun houses” in referencing to the ability to stand in the front doorway, shooting toward the back door, without hitting anything in between, as the doors are aligned via a long hallway.
New Orleans, Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore, Atlanta, Houston, Long Beach, Compton they all speak with such pride about the murder and violence.
Memphis
And yet those same people swear it's not their fault.
i went to new orleans a few years ago and it was the grimiest city i've ever been to, never felt safe
It shouldn’t even be a city anymore. It’s below sea level and everybody’s always surprised when it inevitably gets hit by yet another hurricane. “What? You’d rather spend billions rebuilding the city that’s below sea level? I’ve got another business plan. Cut our losses and finish the job, Lord.” - Daniel Tosh😂
@@rlciii lol not only New Orleans is below sea level, but it's surrounded by water too with Lake Pontchartrain, the Mississippi River, and the Gulf of Mexico.
I felt this way with San Francisco when I visited, constantly felt like sketchy people were scoping me out waiting to strike
Love this channel. Quickly became one of my favorites.
Most people want truly understand this way of life unless you grew up in these type of environments so don’t judge off of what you see just hope better things come to them.
I TRULY understand. They are animals because they are not RAISED by sane parents.
Nah fr… this was kind of hard to watch with them not understanding and laughing and joking about it. But I see it from their point of view too. If you never seen anything like this, it’s foreign to you and your mind can’t process it.
@@Marcus-p5i5syou probably cross the street when you see black folks walk toward you, but act tough and troll on TH-cam because you’re in a safe space. I just hope you don’t have kids that you pass that ignorant thinking down to.
@@Marcus-p5i5s You’re the exact type of person I was talking about you’re just pure ignorant.
@@Marcus-p5i5s You’re the exact type of person I was talking about but you’re super ignorant.
Your wife was exactly right. Police have a “let them kill each other” attitude and it is intentional
It’s not up to the cops though, they are just the grunts. Cops sign up for the action, it’s city hall that makes the rules and the calls.
@@Jackholiday1025 Bullshit.
@@NatPat-yj2or nothing i said was bullshit. Cops are The grunts. It’s the suits at city hall that make the calls.
@@NatPat-yj2orUh not so much. Portland's DA didn't prosecute antifa thugs that tore up this city and we're arrested by police
Trash taking itself out
Daz seems a little naive this video. I don't think these guys are playing it up for the camera at all.
The English dude already said he's up for double murder. SMH, knife crime?
Dude with the blue shirt & dreads has a 3 foot gun under his clothes and nobody noticed. 😂
That’s just his hog
His hog goes from his collarbone to his ankles? @@cjboyer4355
I did, just thought he was pleased to see me 😉
You should watch a Thomas Sowell video talking about the origin of this type of culture. It's a good addition.
"police gotta police however dangerous it may be".... Police in Detroit dont even show up half the time. and you should tell that to the Uvalde police who stood by for over an hour as the shooter went into more classrooms.
Great questions from the interviewer, genuine questions, it's hard to find genuinism nowadays (( that's not even a word I don't think ))😂
In the dangerous parts of a city, police have difficulty finding any witnesses who will go on the record Snitches get stitches as they say.
I'm from down here, and honestly, iwe tell tourists where and where not to go because a single block too far is dangerous.
My personal beef saga with Daz and the Baltimore hate continues 😂🤙🍻
Baltimore is an absolute S***H***!!!!
Wait I’ve noticed that too 😂why does he hate Bmore so much?? I saw one vid and he like Annapolis cause of the Navy Stadium. Why hate on Baltimore besides the obvious😅😅😅
@@Kaylan0713 As a Baltimorean, we are 2nd to St Louis murder rate.. our schools are some of the worst, our streets are failing, we are one of the original colonies, but the history is being torn down, drugs, corrupt police, consecutive criminal mayors, criminal DA, etc..
You can tell that all of these young men are all of the highest morally integrity, loyal, honest, trustworthy. They would never turn on, betray, or harm anyone, let alone their own friends. They are truly concerned with justice and the betterment of their community and fellow humans in general. 😂
Funniest thing I've read today!! Thanks for the laugh😂😂😂
That's what the news tells me whenever some one of color is involved in a violent crime. Love to see headlines like "troubled youth" , "future doctor" etc . Gives me a hardy chuckle
That sounds just like the white controlled government that controls this country sounds like we need a change tbh is what you’re saying
All that is a lie
@@kaydod3190 thank you Captain obvious. Peter Castaneda totally wasn't being sarcastic and parodying much of today's news media. No way
In the projects in New Orleans they used to sell life insurance to 12 year old kids
Even despite everything in this video, NOLA is still one of my favorite cities to visit. That said... you definitely have to know where to go and where not to go.
The ghettos around the US are no joke. It’s third world level of risk. At times can me worse than any other place of the third world. I felt safer in anywhere around 🇰🇪 when I went, than any hood in America.
Mexico City makes New Orleans look like a small blip on the map. Look into that place man. Its the craziest city in the world.
Lmao you’re faces .. y’all look like you were losing brain cells listening to them 😂
Embarrassing and disgraceful, and the local government is doing NOTHING about it.
Democrat government creates it.. They need a permanent underclass, to keep them in office, providing subsidies.. Carrot on a stick.
Samenhere in Baltimore
I went to Tulane in 1996-1997 before transferring schools. I saw an 8-10 year old with a gun bigger than him at a smoothie place just of campus. I was scared as F...! My friend didn't know what he wanted and took a long time at the register....i started sweating and told his girlfriend....she hurried him up and we got out of there.
Almost Every single state has a really dangerous City
🎉 That last guy could kinda sing imo.
East St Louis would like a wore about murder capital of America
Now THIS is more real and shows a rougher hood than that Prince George County cockamamey. I knew it was New Orleans before the video started.
Honestly, every single source you see says a different thing. One source says New Orleans, another says Baltimore, one says Chicago, St. Louis….. I guess no one knows for sure. But Chicago had 599 homicides in 2023…
In any case, none of these places you’d want to find yourself in.
Chicago is also a much larger city. You have to look at the rates. Chicago has something like 25 murders per 100k while New Orleans had 70
@@brendanmcmahon2744Yea that’s true, However, like 95% of those murders in Chicago happened in a very small area, same thing for New Orleans.
@@MrYabber hmm it’s definitely a much higher percentage than that in NOLA. I mean you even have shootings and murders im the French Quarter
St Louis is the worst, and Baltimore is 2nd or 3rd depending on the years stats (im in Baltimore)
I think the most dangerous city is Memphis Tennessee.
Shout outs the fam 💯🔥✊
When I went to New Orleans 2 yrs ago for Christmas vacation/ new years the night of New Year’s Eve in the news some couple got into a car they thought was an Uber and got robbed. Must have been drunk.
Your wife was right, there are places in St Louis and Chicago that I have never seen a cop go to. They do not want to lose their lives. These neighborhoods are very small in scale to the ones in Mexico City. MC has ghettos that are as large as the biggest US cities. Whole neighborhoods of craziness..
There are certain places in every state that are specifically riddled with drugs and drug addicts. There are gangs, murder, unemployment, homelessness. I feel so bad for the kids that are born in to it. They really don’t have any chance .That’s the reality of it all. There are mental health issues and it’s a cycle. It’s very sad. Very very sad.
90s Estonia had 370 murders in a year,so its more then 1 a day,lol
The year I got my driver's license my Mom told me to stay out of Gary (IN)
I grew up right next door to Gary, IN but Rodney King changed everything. When the police weren't charged Gary erupted. Gary Indiana was the murder capital then. I believe it was 1992-1993
Neighborhoods like these are just the plague of America. Theres no stopping it unless they make the changes themselves, and it's sadly their "culture", which is going to take monumental amounts self-reflection and motivation for better. Hard to see that happening anytime soon
Knife crime😂 y’all are funny😂
It’s such a damn shame because the people, the culture, the music, the food are top tier all day everyday. Louisiana needs to do better.
I believe recently Memphis Tennessee won this dubious honor. Was any of this English? Who dares say public schools re failing us?
You could have the most amazing schools in the world for them and they still wouldn't give a damn or pay any attention because they plain don't want to
@4:55
And people for some reason still don't get why their communities are lawless areas
Meanwhile the Norwegian traveler/TH-camr Harald Baldr just did three videos in New Orleans where he had a phenomenal time and was out drinking on the streets late into the night each time. Granted, much like Chicago (and probably London as well) there are very distinct sides to the city. One that is very visible and safe, and another deep in the hoods that is as dangerous as any third world country.
Look up hood trauma. How can they ever get thrmselves out of that.
Its easy to feel bad for these guys cause the area they're in but if they dont place forth an effort as men to change nothing will ever change and the cycle will continue
All the same. That's black culture in 2024
He keeps askiing stupid questions he will be gator bait😮
Watch KC this town. Crazy killing
These guys are just existing with no purpose in life!
Many people are
Honestly a lot of south side of Chicago were dumping bodies in Gary
And we supposed to be afraid of roadmen???🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤣
They're lucky I'm not in charge.
He looks so scared, i dont blame him, but makes me wonder if he thought he would be treated differently because hes black? Little did he know an outsider is an outsider period 😅
Edit: ay daz you guys should go for real. You'll love it, its one of my favorite cities in America for night life bars and restaurants! ❤️💯
Ayyyyy I was just in da NOLA last year . Went to that Lil Wayne mural. Man that ish was sketchy 🤣. Shout outs new orleans baby 💯💯🔥🔥
My sister has a masters in criminal justice and was working for the d.a office down in the nola
There is a reason the rest of the state want to put up walls around it
The rest of the state? Lol Baton Rouge and that other big city there ain’t no better. 🤣
This was an intense one 👽
Damn Cam Newton looks rough
Great vid. Sad but good.
I would have thought Chicago
The worst cities in the country are in the south and lower midwest.
@@F28aj St. Louis is by far the worst per capita
People always think we are the worst because that’s how the media portrays it but the reality is southern states with lax gun laws have the most deadly cities
Chicago may have more murders, but in terms of murder rate per 100,000 people Saint Louis and Baltimore are higher than NOLA.
Chicago is the 3rd largest city, so it gets much more media attention and exposure. But Chicago is relatively safe than a lot of cities in the U.S
Especially sad when slavery was supposedly abolished in the South.
New Orleans used to be nice city, but then democrats got their hands on it.
This isn't necessarily true though it's not necessarily the murder capital of America it all goes by the total population and Chicago surpassed New Orleans for the murder capital.. but then you can also find information that St Louis and Baltimore is a higher murder rate than both Chicago and New Orleans Topping the charts with a staggering murder rate of 69.4 per 100k people, St. Louis, MO, has the highest rate, with Baltimore, MD, following with a rate of 51.1 per 100k people. Does many different answers but it's definitely probably top five

Yeah I know people love talking about knife crime in the UK. But its actually not even that high. Saw a stat in the news that NYC (which is the safest big city in the US and much safer by a large margin compared to the worst US cities) has a higher stabbing rate than London. Shootings are obviously much higher in NYC, despite London being the bigger city.
Per capita
All the most dangerous cities are in the south pretty much, Albuquerque is like the only one not in or around the south
yes and inflation is going down
Detroit? Chicago? LA? Oakland? Stockton? Minneapolis?
Everyone immediately jumps to Chicago, LA, New York when they think violence in America but statistically 8 or 9 of the most violent states are all in the south (and New Mexico).
you must be looking at per capita rankings...
