2:40 This line right here always scared the crap out of me. After long chases the game would bug out sometimes and not play the pursuit cancel callout over the scanner until 3-5 minutes after the fact. By then I'm just trying to get to a destination calmly, and hearing the Tone after silence would spike my anxiety, thinking I was about to get involved in another chase when I was just trying to get to point B.
This game is a decade and a half old and it still amazes me how much radio chatter it has and how imersive the chatter is. Need For Speed Most Wanted was a game way ahead of it's time.
This is why I loved the original Most Wanted... I know it's a silly action game with cars... But... this sounds so great, so immersive. I love how the game was able to somehow emphasise both racing and cop chases.
“Dispatch this is Bravo 2-7 requesting 10-8-5 I’m the only one in the quadrant repeat I am the only one in this quadrant Bravo 2-7.” Chills every single time
nfs mw cop chatter: realistic chatter along with the radio makes it sound like you actualy hijacked a police radio nfs heat: legit just shit talking cops
Love how the cops in NFS can name the actual names of the vehicle your driving unlike the GTA cops. For example, suspect is in ayyyyyy ummmmmmm black SUV
They basically reused this chatter in NFS Carbon, but they had to remove the street names from the dispatcher's lines because they're in a different location
Here’s what they would say if Plymouth Roadrunners were in here: Dispatcher: Channel 3, suspect is driving a Petty Blue 1969 Roadrunner, license plates reading “ROADIE” with a heart on it, custom made to look like the aforementioned character, all units engage pursuit. Officer: 10-4, Dispatch. In all seriousness, this sounds like something out of an episode of COPS
back when the police radio was serious... now in need for speed heat, they say "shit, the car slipped off my view somehow!" 😒 the new need for speed's police radio is so childish and unrealistic...
@Denis' mini Garage Well, judging from your comment (don't take this personally) and your knowledge on the NFS series, I think you only heard the not so professional and very "childish" Night cops you said in your comment in NFS Heat. The Day cops did use police codes and were more mature and professional. Not to mention NFS 2015 police radio didn't have any sort of chatter at all, so in my opinion was more terrible than Heat cops. Don't get me wrong, I still agree with you that the Most Wanted (2005) Police Radio is at the current moment the best and serious chatters overall.
Dispatcher: Channel 3, be advised, a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed was just seen heading eastbound on Rockridge Drive. Units in the area to respond. Officer: Got any more details on that? Dispatcher: Suspect is in an orange Lotus. Officer: Yeah, i'll head up that way, i'm in the area.

Try doing a pursuit during the day. Heat's regular police voice lines are used during the day, and the rouge cops are used at night.
