Surfex HD is great to spray on lower panels and then coat over with Autofoam from Bilt Hamber or Touchless from them as well. Blast off after 5/10 minutes. Very little dirt left for the contact wash.

No doubt , however as a stand alone pre-wash if you have no snowfoam or access to alot of water to make the process abit easier this is also appropriate👍🤘

@@ValetSpecialist I did notice you using a low pressure washer gun. Touchless can be rinsed off freely. No pressure washer required unlike Surfex HD which can be extremely bad for plastics and trims if you don’t thoroughly rinse it off. As I’ve heard in rare parts of the internet and experienced this myself luckily on an old battered car near the end of its life. Having said that, some supermarkets will let you use their pressure washer for a couple quid.
I’ve had to turn the outdoor tap off from the valve at my house as it’s been really cold this winter. Went round to the local Asda and noticed that for a few bob, they will give you a couple minutes to freely rinse a car with a pressure washer. Got my spray bottles prepped with Surfex HD went round, sprayed it on. Sat back for 5 minutes pushing towards 10. Sprayed a layer of Autofoam over it which also needed to be used up. Only downside to this is that they won’t let you snow foam over the car as a canon isn’t provided. It’s too much effort to use an IK foamer to do the whole car.

@@ValetSpecialist either way point is that you can get rid of most of the dirt off the car without too much effort in the peak of winter. The proper washes can wait until the spring when the sun comes out lol

Hi, great video. What ratio would you suggest is safe to use on a Gtechnig ceramic coated car as an APC/Pre wash, then foam over the top? TIA 👍

Thank you for watching👍 I assume you mean safe by how the product might strip or degrade the coating, well it's hard to tell, virtually impossible, unless the beading performance is degraded. It depends how much layer of dirt you have on your car as well. It strips the dirt at 1:10 quite well even a thick layer of it and you virtually don't have any dirt during contact wash rubbing against the paint. I would recommend starting at 1:15 or even 1:20 and if it doesn't work 1:10. I would recommend using it only on heavily soiled cars.

Many thanks for replying. I appreciate your comments ref the paintwork being dirty etc. I was also thinking about the "decontamination" factor, rejuvenating the beading element in the process, as over time, the coating gets clogged up? There are SO many different videos about BH Surfex. Some say not to use on ceramic coating and others say it's fine, as long as the coreect ratio is used 😅 Cheers anyway kiddo 👍

@@MightyRedChick07 no worries👍 I would say any coating will degrade over time, with friction, outside elements, temperature. Friction I mean like driving the car you get air resistance, washing the car with a mitt, pressure washing the car, tbf I don't overthink the moment you can apply protection every time you wash the car or top it up, the goal is to keep the car as clean as possible and a wax or sealant or ceramic coating is nothing but a sacrificial layer that can be reapplied easily over and over again👍

How do you like that cordless pressure washer? Worth buying?
Actually the ONR looks pretty good, even though you had the gun farther away. Good video!

The cordless pressure washer has its pros and cons, if you have no access to water and a power supply it might be the only option.
It's 480 psi so it's more of a "rinsing tool" and you have to rely on the chemicals more however it will do the job. It is very compact.
