I have dreams about the game with other people playing and they are some of my most vivid and lucid dreams I try to send mails go friends I still wonder and hope they are having great life's I 90% of them I start in highpass and make my way to my favorite areas the gnolls that were underground sometimes I'll go to guk or vox castle man I miss this game if it was back on console id play it I don't own a PC so I can't play revival

Yeah, his music always adds a lot of atmosphere to a game. I remember EQOA before his soundtrack, and after. The first 9 months it was music free. It made a huge difference with the added fog, foliage and other effects like cinders falling near lavastorm/Nektulos area etc.

Yeah it was the spot to go once you hit level 20. I miss how people used to gather in towns like that every 10 or so levels.

I'll never forget my first day on EQOA. I made a Ranger because I had just finished watching LOTR, so I made the name as close to Aragon as I could. Then I got to level 7, and the quest basically said to wait at a certain building to group with other players to go kill a bad guy. I sat there for 8 hours waiting for someone to show up. No one ever did. Didn't understand servers being dead and what not lol
But man, that was the best day of my life. I spent the next day exploring and dying repeatedly before making my first enchanter and spawning in Freeport. I played all day, every day, for about 2 years and never got max level. I just enjoyed standing in Freeport trolling lol

I think i have a couple matches recorded from a week or so ago. Haven't felt good enough to jump into any games outside of just recording simple things like menus and intro's etc.
I do believe i have my first non-respawn FF match in 15 years, and oddly enough my first match in Combined Assault which also took place on FF.
I was thinking of offering a quick commentary intro and putting those up.

Dark Solace... wasnt that a hidden cultists camp in some mountains near Blackwater or something? I remember spending hours grinding there and enjoying this ambient music! I played on EU server and its a real shame EU never got any expansions, best we could do was get a US copy and aquire limited features and that was it. Oh that temple you shown in Elephant Graveyard was the place too grind aswell :D And i remember stumbling into the Siliskor summoning quest, no idea what i was doing and then BAM! spawning in front of me! Such amazing times... really miss them.

@@EQOAnostalgia Another great thing about EQOA was exploring, all you had was a compass for the rest it was relying on landmarks. The map was very basic just showing what part of a zone you were in north, east etc thats it.

Some of that music was used in Everquest Planes of Power. Kerplunk was used for Plane of Tactics, Highbourne is Plane of Knowledge. I never actually got to play EQOA. Id love to give it a try if there is ever an easy to figure out way to play it someday.

You cant. There is the EQOA Revival project where a group of people have been reverse engineering the back end server for the past 10 years, to try and bring it back but is not complete. If I was to estimate I would say they are about 60% done. You need a PC and PCX emulator. I think there is a way to do it using a PS2 but never done it my self.

@@TheHydrogen4 Yeah there are tutorials on how to set it up using PS2, but it requires a jailbroken PS2 or some such. It's much easier to just get a decent rig and run it that way imo.
