Armand your book is the Bible of the Gov Job industry!!💃🏽 Great price point, short yet informative, language is clear, to the point and easy to understand. Thank you, it’s a gem! Emailing with a question.
My son was in a federal training program as a gs7 and let him go TWO weeks before his 1 year probationary period They did not give him a RIF stating that he should resign and actually provided a form letter for him to sign!! They told him that they are only keeping 5 out of the 15 trainees as they needed to make room for displaced GS12s, YET they stated that if he didn’t resign, that they would term for performance for not completing a report on time and communication. All of his TPRs were fantastic and he got a commendable 6 month review. He has had 4 (!!) supervisors in the past year!! Any advice for him out there!?!?
My advice is for him to move on and don't ever deal with the federal government. Agencies are generally toxic and geared to follow through on at will policies albeit slower than private. Federal churns and burns like any other employer. Consider your son lucky. He found out quickly that the fed is trash.
Federal government is very toxic. They are no different than any other large organization that operates under at will but at a much slower pace. My advice is to move on and don't look back. His record is probably tainted and who knows if uncle sam will ever expunge it so don't expect a second job offer in the near future.
@@dpi8599what are you talking about. He literally just needs to wait till after dec 20th and reapply since he resigned. There’s no negative remarks in a resignation
Not trying to be mean, but most of your videos are about this agency is mass laying off/ people are leaving or this agency is mass hiring/ in great need of employees. If you can also do videos on federal employee specific benefits, like insurance, insurance upon retirement with Medicare, discounts, TSP funds and differences, TSP service fee and not being able to transfer to a IRA before retirement, child care, DoD vs non DoD benefits, GS vs NH work life balance and pay, etc. I think you will pull in a bigger audience adding videos like these to watch your videos as a whole. Thanks!
What does this new administration plan for budgeting across the federal government? I heard about potential massive cuts from the media, but I'm curious what your thoughts are.
He is an at will temp worker who lacks seniority veteran status and isnt desperately needed IT so of course he was let go. He can go ahead apply but do not expect anything due to paperwork and limited budgets.
DC housing is pretty darn expensive. It might be okay renting a small apartment, but building a family on a decent sized property is at least 1.5 mil above. Unless you’d consider south and east side of the city which really is just a huge hood.
@@Xinerius better than where im at now. housing is still 800k except u get stuck at gs 11 with no way to get promoted at least with DC u can get ur gs grade up then leave to a cheaper place
@@Xinerius had a gs 12 interview for a programmer job in DC yesterday -_-, not excited about COL if i get it but it's dogshit not getting any promotions!

I absolutely love your vids...thank you!
Glad you like them!
The US Government should get rid of the Agency questions if they are serious about hiring people.
great post! I’m working on it

Sounds familiar. Happened to me and others this year

@@dpi8599Tainted? What for? They told him he could apply for other positions. Communication and a late report should not be a term reason.
I recently applied for a position with them
Where can we see the web pages shown at 2:15 to 2:32?
Shocking considering many i know including myself have applied a dozen times and never heard back. Yeah masters. Yes experience in office govt.
I don’t think most federal job bosses would want their employees gone that long. I wish there was an exception for federal emergencies.
Too bad someone like me with a work ethic can't work here because it's a federal job and I'm too old.

Yeah that’s true
Those are great ideas. Thanks!

Are there any fed remote jobs? How can i get fed gov job
Earlier this week I saw a comment that a person was hired with IRS 100% remote at a GS-9.
Probably never. Government is full of 💩

Do you assist with making federal resumes
I assist people with editing resumes and also offer example resumes. There are links in the description below each video.
