Web3 gaming is more so about immutable ownership of in game assets. This will be huge as you'll actually own items in and out of game. The big thing here is freedom to to what you want. Whether that be collect, buy, sell, etc. If done right ( something that most games in web3 struggle with currently ) this could be big!

The real world value of those items is directly tied to the popularity of the game. When the game falls off, say goodbye to the value of your NFT's. It's functionally not much different from any other freemium item shop model. Technically NFT's mean the game devs can't remove your items, but they can still blacklist them from the game. There's no point in making it WEB3 unless the items from this game are able to be used in other games and apps that the devs of this game have no control over. ... but then you have a huge moderation problem, because you can't remove the items. That's nice in a free speech kind of way but less nice in a hate speech type deal. Or someone else uploading your home address on their armor. Or worse.

For example you can trade your nft such as skins or weapons. Once you ve bought them in the marketplace you can also sell them.
