Fantastic! This worked 100%. Brilliant, thank you very much. Edit. So, for context, my Nexus 5X was stuck in a boot loop with the previous owner's details. It hadn't been turned on for a year or so and so when I turned it on, I tried multiple times to sign in but kept getting the error message saying the previous owner must sign in. No idea there was a workaround, but this is mental. I wonder how you found this loophole, just Ingenius! I've now sold the handset for more that I would have got for parts :-)
which version is this on? i've tried a number of times to recreate this on 7.1.2 and it never seems to work for me. i get somewhere i can type but when i select the text, i can never get it to show a youtube button/open anything in a proper browser, everything just opens in the webview and it doesn't allow me to open intent:// links. i can upgrade to a newer version using recovery mode but this is driving me nuts, lol
wipe all data by first going to recovery mode, select factory reset/wipe data- del all user data, reboot connect to internet via wifi, go back and follow the steps from 1:30 in the above video, hope this helps

@@angelnonis did it worked !? Because I seem to have the same problem. I've done a factory reset twice now but JavaScript still blocks me since it says it's disabled or not there.
