- In this video, I speak about the application process for Minerva University (Formerly Minerva Schools at KGI) which is a highly selective university in the United States. I also share some tips and advice to best prepare for the challenges for the Minerva application including Reading, Writing, Creativity, Math, Reasoning and Expressions (Interview). I worked in the admissions office at Minerva, so many of these tips are based on insights from my experience. I am also a current student at Minerva, so please feel free to ask any questions regarding the university!

MINERVA COLLEGE APPLICATION BREAKDOWN
A. PART ONE: Who are you? ( 2:59 )
Basic info; academic history; and examples of accomplishments
B. PART TWO: How do you think? (CHALLENGES)
Take one application challenge on different days. Do the practice tests before the challenges (you can do these as many times as you want)
1. Understanding - Comprehension passage which you can refer to as you answer the questions
2. Writing- Given a prompt and have to address all parts of the prompt. NO EXTRA POINTS FOR BRINGING IN OUTSIDE SOURCES
3. Mathematics - Like SAT maths
4. Reasoning - Like an IQ test
5. Creativity - Divergent thinking (an object and you list its uses; be as detailed as you can)
6. Expressions (Interview) - You are given questions; you have 1-2 minutes to prepare your answer; you answer in a recorded format so you need good video and audio quality. JOT YOUR ANSWERS DOWN DURING THE PREP TIME (There might be no practice round but you can practise timed speaking)
C. PART 3: What have you accomplished?
List and explain 6 accomplishments

Hi. about submitting national exam results, do we have to do that immediately? Or there's an extra deadline where we are required to submit final admission documents (awaiting results deadline) ?

Hi, Thanks for your sharing, and I'm wondering when and where can I take this "test"cuz I had created an account in the official web of Minerva but I found no entrance link for the "test"or sth., and they sent me an email right after I filled in the form for the basic info, and the email went like "You will be among the first to be notified when the full admissions process opens for your chosen matriculation." (Weeks ago after that) Thxx！

Hey! I'm a fine arts major in high school (college). I wanted to ask if the application process for arts major is different from the one you talked about or is it the same for everyone since maths isn't a part of this course that I'm already doing. I hope you can help with that.
The application process is the same for everyone regardless of your academic background. Good luck!
Hi! This was a really helpful video but I want to ask that what grades marksheet are required like I already graduated from my grade 12 and on a gap year so that's why this question strike on my mind, please clear my query if possible.
hi Preet, Minerva asks for the last 3 years of marksheet. for anyone on a gap year, it would be grade 10th, grade 11th and grade 12th. hope it helps.

Can you share links from where i can have more knowledge abut minerva ... is there only one practice test for one challenge or if you do practice test again it will be diffrent from the frst one ... also during the practice tests can I have a guardian of me with me to help me just for practice test...

that doesn't sound too good...but you wouldn't know how you did on each individual challenge except for your own perception of them

No, that is not included in financial aid
Are the tests taken in online mode?
yes!
after which year we can apply at minerva
I believe most people apply in their junior/senior year of high school so grade 11 or 12. However you can also apply as a university student.
Are grades important to get into Minerva?
Yes, they are but they are not the only thing:)
Can you take admission in Minerva if you’re in fsc?
Yes, you just have to apply!
is it full funded?
Minerva meets financial need in the form of a combination of scholarships, work-study and loans! So, that depends on the student's financial situation.
