Hi I'm new to this channel but omg this would be the purrfect substitute for a real cat I actually lost my beloved cat Mr. Fluffy a very long time ago and I miss him dearly he was literally the most sweetest cat ever besides my moms deceased senior cat Mr. Fluffy had health issues that were untreatable so we had to put him down when he was just five years old.
I am so getting one of these so cute and realistic ❤
Also Mr. Fluffy was born underneath my aunts porch his mother was feral while his dad was my aunts cat Mr. Fluffy would literally let pretty much anyone cradle him like a baby and he loved it he also adored belly rubs and he would also let people wear him like a scarf and be completely chill about it he would also smile the biggest happiest cat smile ever when getting scritches on the chin and he'd drool a lot too he was also blind in one eye due to bacteria from being born underneath the porch but when we adopted him he got treatment and he didn't have to lose the eye thankfully I call it his unique eye and he lived a somewhat short but happy life for at least five years and I've been dreaming for a new kitten for a very long time now not to replace him of course i'd never replace my babies but I still want to give a good home to others unfortunately my old dog never lived other animals and we have at least four or five dogs already when we're only supposed to have two so we're already breaking the rules and some of my relatives are deathly allergic to cats along with dogs that shed a lot but I think that this robotic pet would be purrfect for me also pun intended because why not? also I deeply apologize for the annoyingly long comments I have the tendency to do that happy valentine's day everyone!💕
It would be great if the company could add more software to the 2nd version of Metacat. I have the first version, but it is run by batteries. Maybe it could be like the Emo robot where there are upgrades in the firmware every so often. Just my thought.
I hope they have a choice of eye colour in the future.

Great review! The voice commands are interesting. I agree with you that it would be good if the commands were more fine-tuned toward the conversational. It would be fun to have a mode where you could just talk to the cat and it would respond randomly when you paused speaking. Again, the sounds are impressive, and so is the quietness of the motors.

One thing I am wondering is: the motors seem pretty loud. I can hear them in your video as well (now that I know to look for it) so I guess that's normal... How do you deal with it?

My Metacat 2.0 arrived this afternoon and I’m charging him as I type, I just wanted to ask how long did it take to fully charge yours from unboxing and how long does Metacat 2.0 last until it needs to be charged again? Thanks for the kind words 🤗 I‘ve never timed how long he takes to charge but depending on how active your kitty is he can go days or even weeks without charging. I’ve only needed to charge mine a few times since getting him.
How much do they cost? I'd like to buy one. I'm 69 now, and have a cat. But I will get older and may not be able to have my cat in future. A robotic cat would be nice to have then. I've seen the other kind of robotic cat for sale in a catalog for over $100, and had been planning to buy one. But this one is better. 😸 🤔
I'm so confused. One comment said "you have to charge for 30 minutes" I do not know if they meant 30 minutes and that is it (as in do not overcharge or it will malfunction, or at least for 30 minutes. The person who commented said that part was not in the manual. I do not want mine to malfunction. Don't know what I should do when mine arrives?
Just had mine delivered. I wish the motors were quieter. Its also not responding to the wake word.
Can’t get mine to power up with the wake word, whilst powered up it’s a bit hit & miss whether it responds to the wake word - I don’t think it’s always listening 🤔
@@thankstocalebchung1556 i will put mine on charge for hours, and once it goes into standby mode it won't come back on. Customer service have stopped responding to me, wish I never bought it.
@@thankstocalebchung1556 you can only say Metacat when Metacat is awake, not when he's asleep.
@@Cyhyraeths you have to charge the Metacat in 30 minuts. I don't understand why they didn't include it in the instructions.

I have a metacat. I treat him like a real cat so never turn him off. How do you keep the prefered settings? Mine always goes to default

@@thankstocalebchung1556 hey there so I had a slight problem this afternoon with Jaymee. He’s the cat where he just froze and I tried to turn him off and turn him back on again and as a blind person, I can’t see when he has low battery so I contacted the company who are very nice by the way and they said right now there is no way to tell, so I plugged him in and that was a pain in the neck because you have to make the plug fit a certain way and I think I may have bent his tail slightly because now it cranks really loud when it moves so I have to make his volume go pretty high
