Couple things to know if your new to hound that made a huge difference for me. 1. You can use your normal berserkers in fights before converting them into wolf/fox/bear skins, because they only need about 1/4 of their health to win the pit fight. It’s great for clearing your own tiles fast and allowing you to clear the team before winter 2. The second unique lore is MANDATORY and if your wondering why dragur aren’t dropping souls that’s why. 3. During the first winter, it’s usually hard to do much becuase of the reduced power… I always look for a tile of dragur with ONLY SWORDS and no spears, and send my wolf and fox skin to just kite them the entire winter, it should help your eco a lot and give you production over winter
I'm still practicing hounds but it never crossed my mind to use a brawler in my warband lol. This is a whole new experience for me sheesh thanks coach! 😂
Question @larsman: why in this game didn't you convert some of the brawlers into skins... but left them as brawler... you had room for more skins... you can also pick up a skin from the floor instead of going into the camp.... Another thing I'm still not sure what is best... when converting in camp you also get some xp and food/lore/wood/coins depending on convert... converting on map is quicker, what is best???
I think this clan is hard to balance its unplayable in ffa no chance agains big armies but very strong early in 3v3 it outshines every other clear but if u nerf to mutch its unplayable bcs no eco
I think nerfing "Horde Instinct" will be a good start to nerf. It scales with the number of berserkers so i.e Foxskin with his Hunter's Mark they cause the target to take 60% more dmg and it can scale up to 80% if you have 4 Foxskin, I don't know if there is a max threshold but this is already too strong especially if you put this absurd slow on top of it.
@@larsmanlive I'm theory crafting but I think they also can just generally lower the power lvl of the abilities berserkers get at lvl 3 and lower the XP threshold on lvl 3 so clan wouldn't be so depended on rushing from start to finish. What do you think?
@@ThePolishViking I like the idea of lowering the power of the abilities, but having faster access to the abilites! The nerf of the Bearskin ability was a step in the right direction already. It'd be nice if they found a solution about the clan being way too strong in 801.
Stag and Hound are on the same oppressive level in my opinion. If not mirrored Stag can fame-win early 802 (801 with Owl) OR rush OR scale and Hound will simply crush every other clear clan 801.
Well they are bit overtuned. You still need to get good tempo to not die of lack of food or wood, or lose all buildings due to lack of gold. And after everything is clear you HAVE to close the game as soon as possible or you lose. Not to mention that you can't simply just build eco and convert. You need them lvl'd up and it takes plenty of monsters killed in order to do so andyou can't just give XP to low lvls because as mentioned previously, you need to keep food and wood in check. There are definitely pros and cons to that but in general there is a way to nerf them without making them useless.
@@ttranpphu0212 I did not and although I didn't try, for some reason this just doesn't seems like viable option. I might be wrong though, it's just... kinda meh.

The clan's all about the micro and experience. The micro part can be really, REALLY hard depending on the map. I am sure you'll get better results in the future! Try to communicate with your team, that you need the neutrals scouted for 801. A tile-trade would be a nice boost for your clan as well.
@@larsmanlive Yea the difference I’ve noticed in games with teammates and without is insane… solo hound impossible. But do you have any tips on clearing your team quickly? @@TazzSmk Good idea. I thought about increasing the loot, but decreasing overall strength and healing. So Hounds doesn't kill entire map 801 every game o.O
I realized recently that I only like ranked games with wolf mirror. Hounds a definite no, lynx feels overtuned to me, eagle self scouts while clearing quickly which is just so much value. Game feels more like Northgard to me with wolf, the pacing is just off right now with other clans. Especially hound though. Sorry for negative comment lol, just been a bit annoyed since I only get to play maybe one or two multiplayer games a week, having them always have hound just isn't doing it for me these days.
No don't be sorry, I completely understand! Hound is coin flip. Lynx is often times out-scaling eco clans and trackers + 500 fame is just ridiculous. Eagle is still super strong with huge impact and scaling and the better Eagle usually wins the game. Wolf is the only "non-busted" clear clan on the list.
I see it as a pay-to-win scheme by Shiro. Release new broken clans so people will buy them, nerf later, rinse and repeat. I stopped buying clans when Eagle was released as I don't want to reward this monetization strategy.
It's not because of scheme, if you will look at the other games where character's getting added to the game, same issue happpens, they are either very unbalanced and getting nerfed or sh1t from the begging and have to be buffed. The reason of that because regular players don't test it before the release and they need time to adapt for clan/ characters etc. Yes, testers may tested it, but they got the idea, concept and everything from the beginning, so no matter their effort its likely that such things from the start would be considered broken.
caspy, that's the fucking point - the clan is so broken, that nobody has to REALLY be good at it to perform, just don't die with your units while you clear and you are going to outscale everyone

would a classic stat nerf help? or is it just that shiro wants to keep this clan like this for a while 👀 also mass bearskin is very strong as well

Yes, the star means the unit would have died and the death was defied.
