t7 lee season 2 afterwards was super strong afterwards though? his s2 was his prime because he had a good tracking d3 and a launching 10f move with acid rain when you're slightly off axis. you can go for insane oki with a safe slide attempt by doing d3 after acid rain back then. in s4 and patch 5.00 he's still super strong. you can't say he needs more buffs when he literally has acid rain, b4, ff4, ff3, b11f, 223, high evading df1, insane wall carry, easy, best magic 4 and magic 4 series in the game, super consistent and relatively high damage wall combo. though, season 1 lee was just plain sad. but saying he was still weak or underwhelming after s1 is just plain wrong. this downplaying with lee needs to stop.
@@Chaoblahippo downplaying anyone is not fine at all. i see a fair share of kazuyas trying to downplay the power of electrics when they have no idea the amount of pressure it does to you when you try to approach or do anything against them. i play lee so i can just ff4 my problems away but vsing them with any other character is a nightmare for me. i don't main kazuya tho or have as much knowledge with him compared to Lee so I can't say anything definitive in that matter, but that's what i feel about him
He’s hard to pilot and he has clear weaknesses. Even if you aren’t in the lab 24/7 you can probably understand what’s happening in the match. It’s hard to complain about an honest character that doesn’t have an endless list of knowledge checks and has easy to understand counter play.
He's very strong (but not in an op or oppressive or evasive way like for example Feng, D Jin or Dragunov) and had one of the biggest glow ups from 7 (alongside King and Dragunov) but he isn't broken or brain-dead, just very solid and strong. Still needs work one can't autopilot 😅 And almost all Lee players are respectful and cool dudes who work their character and they're rarely carried (unlike e.g. Victor, Alisa or Lars players for example). Man i only wish Kaz had that treatment. I don't play Lee but it's a cool character that I enjoy facing 😀😀

Lee deserved every single one of those buffs, the difference is night and day between T7 and T8 Lee, T8's version is satisfying and you feel that you get something by putting in all that hardwork. P.s. those combos are sick
Lee Magic 4 was unique in Tekken 7. 44 2nd hit jails, tracks both ways, -5 and pushback on block. So he didn't really lose his turn after it. Other characters did lose their turn on block with their magic 4s. Since most are like -7 or more on block, have no pushback or even have vulnerabilities in them such as Katarina 444. Lee and Law had the best magic 4s.
The only negative point on the differences in my opinion is that they removed the db1+2 unblockeable, I used to trick people sometimes by doing it, they probably were thinking that I was ki-charging. That move was legacy since T1

B2 loops in t8 are 100% easier. In t7 in order to loop you'd have to press F fast enough and you couldn't hold it, but in t8 you fan do b2 and hold forward and you get mist step. Way easier.

Lee's b+3,3 looks very similar to Law's old d+3,3 because of the high side kick. Lee's Hitman 1,1,1 is quite similar to Law's 1,1,1 because it's a triple backfist with the first two being low damage and the last one being high damage.
Lore wise, Lee trained with Paul and Marshall Law prior to the events of Tekken 1. His fighting style is an adapted mix of said training along with Mishima martial arts, since he's Heihachi's adopted son :)
Nah his heat is pretty insane, plus if you actually land the just frames, you GAIN (not retain heat… you gain…) heat. For me playing Lee in heat is too fun
As someone that stapled 3xb2 in tekken 7. It feels like they increased the window on the late end when looping. The t7 timing is too quick on t8 and they don't come out at all.
I know itd be more work, and training modes are already getting better, but i wonder if a little frame thing that shows where the frame perfect input is on the char themself, so you can see if youre doing too late or early
Not sure how Lee's just frames work but I am a Hwo main and we got 2 new just frames in 8. 3~4 has a just frame version were you must hold 3 for only 1 frame. You can see next to your inputs some frame indicators showing you how many frames you're pressing and how many frames there are in between. You can look at that and see how the numbers differ in the Just frame version!!
How could you not mention the most crucial part of lee kit?! In tekken 7 he has lame regular taunt. In tekken 8 he can do justframe taunt that regain some heat and has new voiceline
It works 90% of the time on male characters, but it whiffs 90% of the time on female characters... I just don't try to do this when fighting females. The devs could make it more consistent but that would be a huge buff for Lee and maybe this would make him too OP... I think he is fine rn and don't need any buff.

Idk, I don't think Lee's heat is as opressive as the top 10 chars... Don't get me wrong, he definitely is very strong, but when compared to DJ, Jun, King, Xiaoyu, Drag... I don't think Lee's heat is top 5, but maybe it's top 10 tho. The thing with Lee's heat is that "only" allows you to do just frames without execution, but you still have to break your opponent guard to explore this, and if your opponent has good defense or knows the Lee matchup, Lee in heat suddenly is not that strong like DJ for example, that once he's is in heat you basically have no counterplay and have to stay on your feet to block heat smash and he just wavu wavu and apply his 50/50 into you and all you can do is guess.
@@guilhermearaujo4414 he can recover heat while doing chip damage, no execution means he arguably has the best 10 and 11 frame in the game. He can constantly stay in plus frames as well.

Dude Lee is direct proof that people don’t understand what happened to Tekken, for them it’s still a difficult character for the cool boys. Lee is a character with no weaknesses, with top 2 or even top 1 damage in combos, has the BEST punishes in the game, for every minus frame he has a very strong response, 13f heat eng punish)) Safe slide, homing 15f low, 16f counterhit launcher low . If you don't want to take risks, he has non-risky lows. 14f running, ff3 with delay literally homing, broken armor and lack of execution. Honest hero lmao, 1444 is so hard, buff lee faster

In T8 plus frames do not matter, there is a hit system, Lee takes you out for one combo, demolishes 110 dmg into oki, ff3 in a block if you guessed in plus frames, one mixup and you die. Ofc duck against Lee is the worst idea, ff3 is the strongest neutral tool, like 14f mid running or b4
