The way Ludwig has been ranking in LOL going to take him at least a year hit plat playing solo que. The only way he can hit plat before end of this season is by getting heavily boosted.
LoL is based on chess MMR. 400 elo higher is a 90% win rate. If the other players on your team are in the elo they are supposed to be, then your win rate is drowned out to about 65. This is a gold 2 player playing in silver 2. If you are actually a Plat level player your should be pretty close to a 70% win rate. Lets assume Ludwig has been extremely unlucky and is a Plat Player. He should be climbing in silver at a 70% win rate, and eventually it will fizzle out along the way to a 50% win rate when he reaches plat. On that point, his MMR from being a better player will make it so the gap between wins and losses will form a gap. Lose 12 LP for a L, gain 20 for a W and at a 50% win rate he will also be able to climb. If Ludwig starts playing like a plat player, I would expect an average win rate to plat of 60% and an average elo gain per win of 20 and per loss of 14. This would average 6.4 elo per game to cover 600 elo. It would take about 90 games... if he was actually a plat level player and was just getting unlucky. Its amazing but after about 100 games most match making systems figure out where your actually supposed to be, and Lud is in Silver because he is a Silver level player.
Well he's Silver 1, 8 LP right now after spamming games off stream. I'd say he either gets a lucky streak and hits Gold 4 or he ping pongs up and down silver and descends into madness. Even Gold 3 is pretty ambitious lol
I think your math is kinda incorrect at 4:43 If the probability of winning is p then the average gain per match is p and loss is 1-p so it should be p-(1-p) = 2p-1 net gain per match so to get +30 30 = (2p-1)n => n = 30/(2p-1) this makes sense since at p = .5 you diverge to infinity as you'd expect for p = .57 you get 214, half of what you calculated EDIT: nvm he corrected it
ludwig nah your math doesnt math. 57% winrate means in 100 games you get +14 wins so after 200 games you would be at 28 wins near the goal line. And thats only assuming you willl keep improving to match higher difficulty games. its especially gold elo that has higher number of smurfs since its quite hard to get into silver and lower without inting on purpose for those players. thus to be consistently winning in gold and overcome them your amumu needs to be atleast emerald level. prefferably diamond+. to make it faster
He fixed his math at the end. Also for those lads who are wondering how to get it here ya go. X = Number of Games 57% winrate means there is a 43% lossrate so you end up with this equation (remember we need 30 wins UP, which means losses subtract from our total gains) 0.57*x - 0.43*x = 30 0.14*x = 30 x = 214.28, x = 215 games (can't play .28 of a game)
@shadowllght no they dont. you have to play 10 normal games unlock rank and your normal games mmr will be taken in account for your placement. and even if you get placed in silver you will be high silver and after your promos you are pretty much gold. yes you are right people might get placed in silver regardless of that, but those are like gold smurfs. they are also bad and he has to pass through gold anyway so who cares.
I mean league is designed to where if you start your ranked climb below gold you are essentially stuck if you aren’t smurfing your games. There’s no way he was ever going to hit play starting in iron In 1 season.
the least realistic part about this is the timeframe. I've done the math out like him before and found it to be extremely accurate. it is very possible to maintain a 55 or 60% wr by playing well, so aiming for those numbers isnt unrealistic. I just dont think this guy has 17 continuous days of 8 hours of lol in the tank. it is draining to grind lol.
His insistence on playing fiddle just hurts him. He barely ganks early game because fiddle before level 6 aint great, and in mid to late game all he ever does is sit back and look for a good ult angle. His amumu is a lot more active, and while the teamfighting is not great at least it does more, and thats reflected in the winrate difference. Also, the website he uses to 'judge' his games is skewed towards big teamfight characters like fiddle, so all he sees is the site telling him that he was the best or 2nd best on the team, when it reality that just isnt the case.
Due to the nature of this persons job and him having so many acquaintances that are talented gamers, ex or current pros, etc as well as being a raging narcissist he thinks that he is or should be as good as they are or has the potential to be after his training arc like some anime protagonist and it’s tainted the way he approached the game to a harmful degree. Apart from all that he’s just dogshit, no game sense, mechanically challenged in a way that shouldn’t even be possible for someone who’s spent this much time in or around gaming in general.
Your math is wrong. If we say winning W +25Lp and losing L -12 Lp. 1 win + 2 lost = 0Lp 57% winrate = 57w 43L Win 57 ×25Lp = 1425 Lp Lost 43 ×12Lp= 516 Lp 1425-516= 909 Lp From rank4>3>2>1>4>3>2>1 = 800Lp. So the final result is that you need to play around 100 games to go Plat. 😅 100 games x (40min[game+queue])= 4000min 4000 min ~ 67h of gameplay 👌 8h a day = 9 days of game play will 100% performance 👏
This math is terribly incorrect. 53 games means 30 wins and 23 Losses, which is only +7. 210 games is what he needs to play. 210 × 0.57 win rate is 120 wins and 90 losses, or +30 wins
I just find it insane he's complaining about silver players stream sniping him, and not just talking about how he needs to learn what lee sin E or Gragas W are

Ludwig, I've played this game for 11 years. 11. I only hit plat twice. With the new rank reset, it is even more difficult. I hit plat this season with 53% win rate in 400 games. If the probability of winning is p then the average gain per match is p and loss is 1-p
so it should be p-(1-p) = 2p-1 net gain per match so to get +30
30 = (2p-1)n => n = 30/(2p-1) this makes sense since at p = .5 you diverge to infinity as you'd expect

57% winrate means there is a 43% lossrate so you end up with this equation (remember we need 30 wins UP, which means losses subtract from our total gains)
0.57*x - 0.43*x = 30
0.14*x = 30
x = 214.28,
x = 215 games (can't play .28 of a game)
What made you think this? Dont people get placed in silver on fresh accounts if it had only played bot games?
@shadowllght no they dont. you have to play 10 normal games unlock rank and your normal games mmr will be taken in account for your placement. and even if you get placed in silver you will be high silver and after your promos you are pretty much gold.
yes you are right people might get placed in silver regardless of that, but those are like gold smurfs. they are also bad and he has to pass through gold anyway so who cares.
I mean league is designed to where if you start your ranked climb below gold you are essentially stuck if you aren’t smurfing your games. There’s no way he was ever going to hit play starting in iron In 1 season.
he reached gold!!!!!
Why dosent he just get sanchovies to boost him or something
It's always possible. If you can't, you need to evolve and then you can, eventually
the least realistic part about this is the timeframe.
I think yall are forgetting about win streak Wednesday. Personally, I think that is a bit disrespectful.
if I have 54wr in emerald and I keep playing I'll hit chall right because I win more than I lose?? /s
To be fair, split 3 league, plat 4 is like plat 2 from last season
The only thing keeping him back is not trying out new champions cause he is afraid
Lud finda carry pls
does this mean we're getting league chrismas or what?
Due to the nature of this persons job and him having so many acquaintances that are talented gamers, ex or current pros, etc as well as being a raging narcissist he thinks that he is or should be as good as they are or has the potential to be after his training arc like some anime protagonist and it’s tainted the way he approached the game to a harmful degree. Apart from all that he’s just dogshit, no game sense, mechanically challenged in a way that shouldn’t even be possible for someone who’s spent this much time in or around gaming in general.
i think his jungle level of plays has increased and his clear but his mechanics in small skirmish is poor.
Your math is wrong.
If we say winning W +25Lp and losing L -12 Lp.
1 win + 2 lost = 0Lp
57% winrate = 57w 43L
Win 57 ×25Lp = 1425 Lp
Lost 43 ×12Lp= 516 Lp
1425-516= 909 Lp
From rank4>3>2>1>4>3>2>1 = 800Lp.
So the final result is that you need to play around 100 games to go Plat. 😅
100 games x (40min[game+queue])= 4000min
4000 min ~ 67h of gameplay 👌
8h a day = 9 days of game play will 100% performance 👏
Correct
took slightly more than that
where did he stream those league ? couldnt find him on youtube or twitch
This math is terribly incorrect.
53 games means 30 wins and 23 Losses, which is only +7.
210 games is what he needs to play. 210 × 0.57 win rate is 120 wins and 90 losses, or +30 wins
Finished watching, he got way closer lol
He’s wrong though, it’s never 4 wins per level, and rank up from division is multi win ?
I just find it insane he's complaining about silver players stream sniping him, and not just talking about how he needs to learn what lee sin E or Gragas W are
He thinks he can brute force league to get to plat like in foddian games, but if he does not try to learn even a little bit he WILL stay in silver/gold.
Do we tell him that his winrate will drop in gold?
I think he's gonna be done with this game pretty soon tbh
It doesn’t matter how many matches he plays when his true skill level is silver.
should have did it in chatgpt
He'd be better off restarting on fresh account honestly
all the commentors who are 1 to 2 ranks above him acting like they are insane is hilarious
It's honestly impressive that he managed to get plat in Valo but is so unironically bad at League
why? they're just completely different games and for most people, skills don't transfer to mobas except at the most basic level of mnk familiarity. you can hit plat in val with your eyes closed if your aim is decent, not very hard
Ludwig, I've played this game for 11 years. 11. I only hit plat twice. With the new rank reset, it is even more difficult. I hit plat this season with 53% win rate in 400 games. I climbed from Bronze 2.
This is by far, the hardest game I've ever played. Hit Diamond in rocket league in 3 months. Hit Legendary Eagle in CSGO with 30 frames.
League is by far the hardest game I've ever played. Plat is the top 21% of players. You say you're better than almost 80%. It's fuking hard man.
What ranks mean changes over the years. S3-S8 Plat 4 to Plat 1 was top 2-5% of players, right now it's top 10-20%, it's way more doable for a new player.
top 21% of a game is not hard man lmfao, you're clearly just less used to mobas and the fundamentals and knowledge dump that comes with them
@@lostmycat5671 Yeah, and getting 90 percent in pure mathematics is also easy. So why are so many people bad at math? OH RIGHT!!! NOT ALL HUMANS HAVE THE SAME SKILLS!!!!
Idiotic hypocrite response. Top 21% isn't good? Yeah buddy. I bet you better work on your self love because lord knows you only base it off achievements.
@@lostmycat5671 Try it lol, i dont think it is obtainable for a new player to hit plat within a year. not accounting for a no-life that has coaching help
@@hiimbob2121 I hit plat back in s7 (when it was harder to reach) in my first season and diamond in the following season. I just picked 3 champs i liked, learnt how to play them in lane by watching some videos, and whenever i played a new champ I would take the time to learn what their abilities did.
Although I think the main thing that helped was i had experience playing dota, which has a heavier focus on managing waves / general macro. Back then it was worse, but even now the lower ranks in league are so bad when it comes to understanding their lane/roam timings.
u can do it lud i went s4 to p4 in 3 days by spamming senna trust
I am not sure you will make it to Plat by the end of the Season, but don't give up man. I hope you get a least Gold which is pretty good for first real season of League of Legends. and only playing like 2 champions.
If he hits plat it will be solely because Connor would drag him there. Ludwig right now honestly still has Iron mechanics. I play with friends on a smurf in OCE bronze and I can say for certain 99/100 bronzes there are better at the game in nearly every way than Ludwig.
For whoever in the chat was saying it, don't use Chatgpt for math. It's a large language model, it's literally not made to understand mathematics.
tbf the o1 and o3 models are quite decent at math
his attitude is the problem
200-300+ game is nothing 10-20 per day a week or two for plat
But that's not something to be proud of lol
It's insane that he does not understand that his own win rate will lower with better opponents. He cleary does not want to learn the knowledge to be platinum or even gold, his skills are pitiful and his experience (with only 2 champions) meaningless.
Tyler was right. He will never get to plat. If you start making these sorts of calculations but can't read abilities you probably don't have it in you.
Its possible, he's Gold 4 now. He's probably still going to struggle, but if he gets lucky for 20 games, he can get plat.
Well?
I canr believe my streamer is a quitter :(
LUD USE ANOTHER ACCOUNT, MMR IS BROKEN ON YOUR OG.
+15 is BAD, IT MEANS YOUR ACCOUNT IS SO BAD
A LOST SET YOU BACK 2 WIN GAMES
bro just get better???
I know Lud does occasionally get stream sniped but realistically he is the terrorist he accuses people of being in most of his games. If I was playing ranked and lud was my jungler id be getting chat restricted
I get talking is his thing but if he spends all this time talking pointless math and not queuing up, he's never making it.
If he didnt have the EGO that faker should have i would not be watching him.
I love seeing him lose and blame his team for obvious fuck ups he has made!
IS MMR is bad so he gets like lower LP.
By not playing atlease 5 games a day and WIN all of them, he will not reach gold or plat.
again, if he never steps on to gold, he will never reach plat.
No it is not.
Can't wait for "Broken by concept" to see this one. They will rip you a new one.
I have hated watching any and all of Luds league content. He doesn't make it fun, he doesn't do it well, and he's playing a game I stopped caring about like 8 years ago. I've stopped watching, but he still brings it up in stuff like the yard. I hope he never reaches plat, because Lud would be delusional enough to think that means he can go one rank higher next season.
Thanks Lud you played league so we dont need! Never touched the game nor will be.
