As a future Shanks main, it annoyed me to no end that Shanks ran no Lucky Roux and no Yassop whatsoever. Many people are giving a try to this "hard to remove" deck with Marco and Ace and despite it being interesting, it removes a lot of the defense the deck desperatelly needs to get to the end game. On this particular Match Up, Lucky would be devastating to betty because he would block a hit and certainly remove something from the field, given it tackles characters with original power of 6k, so the buff hardly matters there, it would be 1 less swing at him and Yassop would be a constant debuff to your table every time it swung (making him a somewhat blocker because the opponent needs to get him out of the field asap, either burning don or an attack) as well as making shanks a 6k leader on arrival, which would make less painful to counter. The basic shanks deck with the red hair pirates still seems the most consistent for me for defensive purposes as well as for board control, this new variant just doesn´t appeal to me. That being said, Love the revo army package, my main for op08 was RY sabo and Betty also peaked my interest, definetelly something I will build on 09 as a sidedeck for fun on locals =).
And Karasu aka RevoSanji.. 8 new Blockers spots for the deck..Hormone is a big big call as long there are no other options every player knows whats coming
Only one loss at my locals.. Bety scares the hell out of every deck ..Newgate , Shanks , Lucci , Doofy ..no problem..only loss vs Blackbeard😅 underestimated 2 Devon on the field..
I was building shanks but fell in love with Betty, now I'm building it. Do you have a deck list because the deck I'm building does not have Dragon and rather use it. Thanks!

Hey Marineford! I was wanting to know as a Shanks main, what are your tips for dealing with Betty? I have a pretty good Betty player at my locals and I always get so close but he manages to beat me each time. Got any advice? Keep up the amazing work btw! Be careful attacking life, if a trigger coming out would be too devastating - just don’t attack them 👍 they always run out of resources eventually I like to go second into them, their 3 don turn is usually pretty bad and you get to 8c Rayleigh sooner which is a crazy card in the mu If you want to tech for them, lucky roux is great, you get to block one hit and destroy something else that hasn’t attacked yet :) Otama Marco comes at the cost of a 2k but is probably still worth to remove one of their guys early. Hormone costs too much when the deck needs to use don to buff, Koala is pretty much your answer for defense now
