1.India's GDP projection by various countries.
a) According to global credit rating agency Moody's report "Global Macro outlook 2024", India's GDP projections for 2024 ha been raised to 6.8% from 6.1%.
• For 2025, India's GDP growth is estimated at 6.4%.
b)According to OECD Economic outlook, Volume 2024 (paris based orgainsation) ha s raised India's GDP growth forecast for FY25 by 40 basis points to 6.6% from 6.2%.
•Global gdp growth is projected at 3.1% in 2024 and 3.2% in 2025.
c) According to Global economic outlook released by s&p global market intelligence India's GDP is revised to 6.8% for the fiscal year 2024-25 .
• For FY24 India's GDP is growth is revised to 7.3% from 6.9%.
•The Indian economy is likely to grow 6.1% in FY26 and 6.2% in FY27.
2.Acquiring/Merging news related to banking.
a) SBI mutual fund aquires 3% stake in savita oil technologies at an average price of Rs.408 apiece from its promoter entity Mehra Syndicate.
b)Standard chartered Bank sold a 7.18% Stake in central depository services limited(CDSL) worth of Rs.1,266.48 crore.
c)HDFC bank closes USD 1.15 bn stake sale in education finance Arm HDFC credilla.
3.Major cabinet approvals.
a)Union cabinet approves NBS rates (Nutrition based subsidy) for KHARIF season 2024 on P&K fertillizers.
• Budget would be approximately 24,420 crores.
b)Cabinet committee approves UNNATI Scheme 2024.
•Total cost-Rs.10,037 crore.
•The scheme is expected to receive approx 2180 applicants and to generate 83,000 direct employment opportunities.
c)Cabinet Approved Rs.2207.50 cr budget support to run (CAPFIMS) Central armed police forces Institute of medical sciences as a campus of AIIMS, Delhi.
• To run the 970-bed super-speciality and teritary care hospitals.
•Mou was signed between CAPFIMS and AIIMS.

1-The World Bank has revised India’s GDP growth for the current financial year 2024-25 by 20 basis points to 6.6 per cent from its earlier projection of 6.4 per cent made in January.
