How to Fix These AAA games - Luke's Game Room

A lot of triple AAA titles have been disappointing lately. Let's take a game room tour on how these mid titles can be fixed without fundamentally changing everything about the game. Even if we'd like too.

Spot on. Most AAA games released after 2020 have been simply not fun. Horizon Forbidden West was my personal greatest disappointment. So much potential and talent flushed down the toilet.

Spider-Man 2 - shelved it after 5 hours due to the formula feeling a bit stale. I genuinely think that Miles Morales was a better game due to it being compact and more to the point.
God of War Ragnarok - this game left me very burned out due to its bloat. Luckily Valhalla fixed that by focusing more on gameplay, bonus points for being a roguelike mode.
Jedi Fallen Order was great - even though the second game fixed the lightsaber combat (though being weaker than the first game overall IMO) it was still a good game. Kinda wish it was set some time after RoTJ though, getting far too tired of seeing every other Jedi and their mother surviving Order 66.
TLOU Part II - actually one of my favourite games and I have no issue with the story BUT I feel like it could’ve been split into two games or at least trimmed some fat. Would’ve been great to see that entire third act fleshed out some more.
Tears of the Kingdom - on paper this is a 10/10 game for me, however I can’t help but prefer the first game. I think it’s because there’s that bit too much going on. I think they should’ve either done a game set entirely underground, or in the sky.
