Haha I just saw the first comment. Glad you found both! Your comment was spot on with how long to heat as well. It really depends on how much you’re enjoying the game. I tend to lean on the side of multiple play throughs instead of side content. But it depends on the type of game. Like assassins creed or a Skyrim no I only want one play through. Same for horizon or god of war. A tactical rpg like vagnguard bandits? Or a shorter game like og metal gear solid or Resident evil one? Those I prefer multiple play throughs
Glad you enjoyed Shining Force! Yeah, when to promote units is weird and doesn't seem consistent. I also hate that the late game units are SO MUCH better than your starting unit and some of them require that you pretty much start leveling them STAT to reach their potential, like the birdmen and Zylo (werewolf guy) require a lot of levels to be great.

Not great at tactics games however Shining Force series is my favorite on the Genesis
So you've playing since the age of 2 but you haven't played Shining Force trough until now?
I played it through in the 90s.
What's next? You will say that you haven't played Shining in the Darkness through in the 90s or even Streets of Rage 1 and 2 back in the day.
And you played Max Payne 1 and 2 just now? I played Max Payne 1 through shortly after it was released on PC and Max Payne 2 through on OG Xbox after the release.
Max Payne 3 took longer since the game was so different and by that time there were a lot of good games around.
Come on now my friend. So I was 2 in 88. Shining force came out in 92 when I was 6. I also was not huge into Genesis nor had I ever played or even heard the term rpg. Games slip through the cracks all the time. Especially niche series. Also it was much harder to go backwards in the 90s as the technology leaps were so impressive esp for a young kid. Once ps1 and n64 came out Genesis and snes were old news. So even after I discovered FFT and a love for tactics game telling my 12 year old self to go back to a game that was 6 years old was a stretch. Most definitely played streets of rage 1 and 2 though. Streets of rage was the first and last game I ever leant to a friend. He never returned it and I learned real quickly to never trust anyone but myself with my games lol
