    Wow I want to be as good of an organization nerd as you. Super useful video. I really appreciate that you focused on solving the challenges of running a business rather than the nitty-gritties of just using a tool.
    Do you have any content that covers more about how you tie this all together with Sheets and Calendar? One of my employees now says he uses a similar stack, glued together with Zapier to automate data management for his startup and was curious to see a comparison of strategies.

    Ever considered moving a 'delete' item to an 'idea graveyard' board? Then when you have ideas, before committing them to the project pile, you can search for them in the graveyard and read why you rejected them at the time.

    • @schoolofbots
      @schoolofbots  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely! We keep them in an "idea" column so we don't have to waste time moving them to a new board.

    Do you know how to manage project budgets in Asana? I would like to document cost by each activity and then roll up the costs by project. Thank you, Natasha!

    • @schoolofbots
      @schoolofbots  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! :) This would be a bit tricky to automatically keep track of using Asana. I would recommend using Google Sheets or Airtable (which you can think of as a blend between Asana and Google Sheets).
      If you're insistent on using Asana for this, you could try using the exact same format for every Asana card description - Then use a Zap / Scenario in Integromat to find that budget, and put it into a Sheet/elsewhere to calculate this.
      Hope that helps!! :)

    I like how you have everything so organized and sort of automated :) I'm so going to try this out for some projects I'm working on. I'm also mostly on the go with my cellphone (will be getting a laptop eventually) and am curious as to what apps you use? I will be using the Asana app for sure and maybe Airtable.

      @schoolofbots  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Azurebat :) So glad to hear that this video was valuable!
      I use about 10 core platforms to get work done. However, I mainly organize everything under Asana and Google Sheets. I've been wanting to get more into AirTable recently, but haven't had time to dig into it.
      I found out about it when they first launched, but then forgot about it because I didn't want to learn a whole new platform :)

    Content is great, the presentation suffers however. Music is too loud. The presenter talks nonstop with the same level of voice over the music with no emotion or you just rush through the presentation. It is very hard to listen, I tried to listen to it couple of times and I felt asleep on the 5-th - 10-th minutes. There is also the nose at about 19-th minute of your video which is waking up the listener, but is in huge contrast with all previous video, so it make feel your listeners bad. I am for sure will not listen it twice and I will find somebody else to listen on this topic. Please take it as the feed-back, not an insult.
