I didn’t like oxpecker to much, I feel the mag size lets it down for harder difficulties but maybe I’m wrong and I just need to give it a bit more of a chance!
Nice to (potentially) see sets and weapons that won't be dead on arrival and looks like stuff I will actually use instead of collecting dust in my stash ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS NOT TOUCH ANYTHING but they probably will
Exactly my thoughts on this PTS. I know the modifiers were crap last Season, but they are looking far more promising this time. Sadly it's full-blown overkill and powerplay, but at least I won't mind doing the Journey this time and joining groups with it turned on won't frustrate me as much.
Refractor might be a nice hybrid skill damage and healing. Monkey is the only thing that seemed a little half baked to me. It seems like we already have better .

The new smoke bomb gloves are useless dead on arrival . The smoke cloud needs be corrosive or poisonous maybe confuse the enemys anything besides just smoke and the 40 sec cool down makes the gloves pointless
They are pretty useful in PvP because they allow you to Regen armor and make you immune to pulse and hides your name plate. I think speed runners might use it sense it allows you to change loadouts in combat if your fast enough
This next season has good utility, refractor that heals, the smoke bomb exotic gloves and OxPecker that helps with shield durability if anything it shows the Devs thought about the gear being added to the game this season,instead of last season let's micromanage the range you engage enemies at
2:09 HAAAARD disagree lol. The healing on the SMG is just way too strong in PVE, your essentially unkillable while shooting. At least its balanced by its lower damage, but with how much power creep we've gotten (and next seasons modifiers) the damage won't matter. You can just run around like an absolute idiot. Also for the tiers to run, with oxpecker the main risk to the shield isn't how long you can hold it out, its the risk of it being 1 tapped quickly or broken while reloading, so I think skill tiers on the shield are still worth something. That said, more damage is more busted regen. I'm guessing memento is really going to be the best combo with it. Also.... how does the backfire (bleed) work?!?!?
Only depends on if CockPecker can outheal legendary barrages, because those will shred shields in four shots. In normal open world content, yeah sure, its busted, but everything can be busted ob Heroic. The only thing i care about in relation to new gear and guns is how well they perform in Legendary, RAIDs and Incursion.
Sorry nothing new ,ive got a 5 yr old skill build that does it better. But in reality how many builds do you really need after 6 yrs. Hey its something but really its just more of nothing.
Im curious what skill build is it, Is it the red yellow hybrids? 3p empress 1p wyvern 2 p hana-u with one being force multiplier backpack, or is it the 3p empress 2 piece Brazos one being picaros and then memento. Because those 2 are the meta skill builds because they build with some red cores and stack skill dmg and crit also capacitor
@rybr3ad wow great reply. I'm sure yours is amazing. My point was they think if they give more fancy gear to run the same shit and it's going matter they are wrong. What worked before still works now. Nice build though enjoy.
I bet a lot of stuff will get nerfed before it drops considering how positive the reviews have been for the PTS.
Would love to see a refactor set build for solo and group play from you. Love the math you use to back up builds!

With 2 blues the shield with ocpecker feels a hell of a lot better then i thought it would be.

I don't think it would be the worst thing if they gave it a little bit more Ammo in its mag but either way its nice that the MP7 is getting an exoitc

I'm wanting to try the refractor set with tardigrade for heals. I'm not sure how well it will work but that's where my mind went
It's nice to have, but not sure we needed another shield sustain on top of Artificer, Liberty, and Foundry.
But 10 expertise on the shield so 10% more active regen?

0:45 I don't agree. Exotic backpack looks pretty dead to me. To utilise the talent you should let your team die. Not much of a medic imo
Curious bout the oxpecker with a deflector shield and refractor set
Deflector can only be used with pistols.
Deflector shield doesn't proc refactor and you can't use primarys while holding the deflector
I dont see how this MP7 is better than Dark winter. And it also tied to shield gameplay.
It's not better DW will beat it all day, for has stated this. He said this is a good option for shield play, but DW will beat oxpecker in dmg
