I THINK YOUR 1000% CORRECT WHEN IT COMES TO CONSULTATONS, I THINK LOT OF THESE BIG TIME STYLIST\EDUCATORS ARE SO QUICK TO BE LIKE NOPE RED FLAG... OUR CLIENTS ARE YOUR NORMAL JOE AND NOT ALL KNOW WHAT THE WANT AND SOMETIMES WE DONT EITHER SO IT TAKES TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT.
I think not taking the time to reevaluate and have a thorough consultation with a long time client can even mean losing a client to someone else and not knowing why?
Yes 1,000%! There’s been a lot of times where I’ve taken a new client and they actually say something along these lines that their stylist stopped asking them what they wanted. I couldn’t imagine not consulting with everyone every single time in my opinion! And some ‘touch up, same thing as last time’ consults only take a few seconds but letting them decide that’s what they want and to communicate that is huge!!
