I'm a 64-year old artist and every time I watch your videos - I get out my iPad or paints and start doing all these ideas! Then, I get stuck on how to actually get them out there and sell them... so I'm off to find your videos on how to do that.
Also, absolutely LOVE your channel. I've been lurking and watching for a couple years. Just decided to try Etsy this year and what I've learned from you has been an amazing help. PLEASE don't stop making videos.
Great video, as usual. My favorite part was when you scrolled down and saw a curse word on one of the coloring page designs, and immediately scrolled back up.
Public Domain items are free use. There are no copyright or trademarks registered on them. For example, Sherlock Holmes is in the public domain, you can republish the book. You can write your own Sherlock Holmes stories. Disney built an empire using Public Domain fairy tale materials. A studio was making a Peter Pan series (or movie, I dont remember), and Disney threatened to sue and they backed down out of fear. But in reality, Disney cant do crap! The original Peter Pan book and play is in the public domain and you are free to use the characters how you wish. You just cant use Disneys representation of them because its trademarked. Winnie the Pooh original art, stories and characters are also in the public domain for you to use, but you cant use Disneys version of them.
OMG, had to pause every 10seconds to write it down :D This was my first video in this channel, definitely going to see all of them. Loved it, thank you!
Been watching Sarah's channel now for 3 or 4 solid years. How is it that she never ages? And my goodness you are so gorgeous, Sarah. Indeed I love your channel !
Aaahhhhh, Sarah. What would I do without you. Thank you for introducing me to the world of digital products months ago. Opens up a whole new world for me and finally gives me hope again. Thank you.
I will do this. Thank you for everything you do. I will learn from YOU moving forward. Your wisdom could potentially help me earn 100,000 a month in the future. Blessings my friend
RE: Goodie vs Swag - Born & raised in Texas & always called "goodie bags". Grew up in the '70s/80s but it's still the same. The only time I hear "swag bag", other than celebrities, is on local news, for example a posh fundraiser/event attended by local celebrities, i.e. news anchors, politicians, etc. or maybe a Sephora type store opening or giveaways. 😊
i understand you are well into this as a business so my question is.... what items have you collected along the way that weren't necessarily needed in the beginning but now you have and that help you stay current. Example computer, printer, tablet etc
You are the gift that keeps on giving! I'm super happy for you in your success, and we are so blessed that you share your wisdom with us! Keep being your Awesome Self and shooting for the stars!
Ted, it would be helpful if you added a way to overcome the Etsy location algorithm, Etsy handicaps people outside of the usa in the searches and it makes it twice as hard to get any kind of meaningful sales when in any other part of the world.
Thank you SO MUCH Sarah for the ever increasing value that you give in each and every video! I have a small question that I hope you can help me with, if I want to start selling more than 1 niche on my Etsy or Redbubble store, is it good to have - for example - a store that contains t-shirts - stickers - printable or downloadable content - cups - etc. on the same store? Or it's preferred to have a niched store that contains only t-shirts and another for each of the mentioned products? Many thanks once again.
My opinion (and from how I've seen others doing it) is your niche is not a product, but rather your design style or theme. My niche is all things retro, vintage, and historical. Then I have categories in my Etsy store that break everything up by decade or otherwise group like-products together, like all the greeting cards. But the 1940's section might have pin-up girls on t-shirts, phone cases, and mugs, as well as vintage planes as wall art. Because people who love vintage and retro things are going to want to surround themselves with that sort of thing, so they need all the products.
Thank you for the kind comment 🌞 RedBubble & Etsy are all essentially gigantic "general stores" already. Nicheing down on these websites doesn't increase your sales, since it is already a big general customer base already. I recommend selling any and all products you think will do well, regardless of niche.
I had a chuckle at your explanation of your accent. My best friend growing up was from NZ and it's so lovely to see so many successful people entering social media to share their story from NZ. Brings back good memories. =)
It depends on your end goal. I always tell people to start off broad and get a good feel for what you like to do then niche down but it entirely depends on your end product.
Love your channel and content ❤️ Some passive income I would love you to review are yieldnodes and baked beans (crypto projects that have consistently provided reliable income) I know this isn't your niche, but would love your take on them :) P.s. my 9 year old also loves your videos and I hope she follows your methods to achieve your level of success and financial freedom. Thanks again for all your free content
Am little green man, so have held back from getting into printing mugs and T-shirts - too many clothes and mugs in the world already, and making them eats resources Love these paper-based ideas, though - things that require minimal expenditure of materials and energy when people print them out. I might give this a shot - thanks!
I am from the Southern United States, in Tennessee, and we always called them "goodie bags" - I don't know who came up with favor bags. I don't like the sound of that! Lol!
Hi Sarah, can you hit me with a Channel verified reply please? I'm highly interested but want to be safe before I proceed. If not, I'll hold on the t-gram process. 🤔 Compared to what I've seen so far it feels a bit back doorish and I wanna make sure I'm not about to get trounced in a digital alleyway 😉
Each month I do an update to fix any videos that need to be changed, but I don't make changes to videos if there have been layout/button changes to the apps I use in the video, but the process works roughly the same. For some people they prefer to purchase video tutorials knowing their screen will look exactly the same as the on screen videos, and so I like to just warn people of this first before they buy 🙏
Thanks for the video, here in Argentina each birthday guest, usually children, at the end of the party is given a "bag" with candy or toys, it would be a souvenir
I loved this! I wondered how all this could possibly be crammed into one segment. As always, your talent has no bounds… Truly excellent roundup and most generous of you to share Sarah! Thank you kindly! 😊 🙏🏼
Soooooo many GEMS in this video. I am so glad I found your channel. I started my print on demand store through Shopify. I want to get your opinion on it......soon. hahahaha! I am still learning how to make it better. Thanks!!
Hi Sarah new in your channel. Thank you for your videos 😊 . I read Redbubble rip people off by claiming false copyright infringements but keep selling their items behind their backs. Did this ever happened to you on any of the platforms? and if so what's your experience? Thank you much.
I’m overwhelmed!!! Where do I start? I can draw, create calligraphy & make cute crafts. I have some cute ideas. But I go back and forth, where to start. Etsy, printful, red bubble ??? Ughhh??? I have four children and not a lot of time. Where do I start?
Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer, But....look at all the competition! As you searched the ideas on Etsy there were already TONS of other people already doing the same thing. Do you have any suggestions that don't have a lot of competition?
I'm still trying to decide what image editing software/subscription to purchase. Luminar AI, Luminar Neo, Inpixio. Canva pro, etc.! I want something that is very easy for beginnings but can give me many features and options to edit, manipulate and modify public domain images, photos, etc. for commercial use! I tried to study and use GIMP but it is going to take too much of a learning curve to learn. Which image editing software is advised for a beginner? thanks
You are awesome ! ❤️ I wanted to ask you , per example to sell posters and stickers we can make them in printify and after sell them to customer in etsy ? Or Etsy have their own manufacture to make them with our design ? , Thank you very much
😂 The New Zealand accent translation for those of you that are new around here 😉
Itsy = Etsy
Sh*t = Sheet
Tixt = Text
What other ones did I miss? 🙈🌞
Timplate
I love when you do your translations. You're such an adorable young woman.
Licture (Lecture)😌
I'm in Michigan, USA and we call them "goodie bags" -- into which you place the "party favors" lol.
Obsissed 😄

how are you fairing with these projects are you making Money now.
She just say what they are but don't show us how to create these digital downloads, ???
Who else waits with joyful anticipation for her to say “yay”? It’s the cutest!!!
Also, absolutely LOVE your channel. I've been lurking and watching for a couple years. Just decided to try Etsy this year and what I've learned from you has been an amazing help. PLEASE don't stop making videos.
I am only 10 minutes in and this may be the best TH-cam video I have seen all year.
Great video, as usual.
My favorite part was when you scrolled down and saw a curse word on one of the coloring page designs, and immediately scrolled back up.
Sarah, would you do a quick video on how to document your use of public domain items to avoid Lawsuits and trademark infringment claims? Thanks.
Public Domain items are free use. There are no copyright or trademarks registered on them. For example, Sherlock Holmes is in the public domain, you can republish the book. You can write your own Sherlock Holmes stories. Disney built an empire using Public Domain fairy tale materials. Been watching Sarah's channel now for 3 or 4 solid years. How is it that she never ages? And my goodness you are so gorgeous, Sarah. Indeed I love your channel !
I literally wrote down ever single idea you suggested! Now to go thru and pick a few! Thank you soo much for all of these amazing ideas!

BTW also great information! Thanks! Haha that should probably have been my first comment.
Let me start by thanking you for such valuable content! Would it be wise to mix them in one shop or to niche them down?
It depends on your end goal. I always tell people to start off broad and get a good feel for what you like to do then niche down but it entirely depends on your end product.

Hi Sarah,
I'm in the U.S., Hawaii specifically.
We call 'em goodie bags too, especially if they've got candy. I've also heard grab bags used as well.
Hi Sarah, can you hit me with a Channel verified reply please? I'm highly interested but want to be safe before I proceed. If not, I'll hold on the t-gram process.
