3:29:03 This scene here finalizes Bane's character arc to becoming a true Sith Lord. He had killed before but those were out of anger, self defense or happened in a war zone. These killings are purely cold blooded and pragmatic in nature, if he wants to survive he needs to feed off their suffering and they are in no position to stop him. And it has the very chilling image of Darth Bane rising from the ground like a demon to feed on the innocent.
That's the one scene I find upsetting. He could have just scared them instead of killing them. He had the perfect means of doing so too and I just hate the idea of taking a young person's future away from them. Cold blooded is the best way to describe it indeed.
I like the image of him raising himself from the ground with the force because he's too weak physically to do it. Imagine you see this dark clad figure rise from the ground by levitating before standing in front of you on shaking legs, he asks nothing, Merely draws his blade and sends it forth like a spear.
My personal head canon is that bane has been soul transferring and was actually pelagus. Palpatine learned of this and killed him before he could soul transfer into him. His plan became to perfect cloning and soul transfer into clones of himself. Anakin was a back up plan.
1. It takes Plagueis 150 years to kill his Master Darth Tenebrous....That is why Tenebrous takes on a new apprentice cause he thinks Plagueis is an abonination of the Rule of Two 2. Plagueis wants Palpatine to be his equal and hoping that they both rule the galaxy forever.... 3. Plagueis claim that he is the Sithari while Darth Bane don't and let his actions speak for itself 4 . Plagueis the foo don't listen to Bane that apprentice destroying the master is inevitable...The foo sleeps in the presence of his apprentice and its the reason for his death... If Bane is still alive he could be Darth Jar Jar the Troll...His new rule is "The Rule None" his motto "You can't destroy what doesn't exist" ....His makes the Sith immortal....He rule the galaxy forever by toying on both Jedi and the Sith....
I only wish this vid had all the chapters, it starts at the end of chapter 16 and it ends on chapter 31 with Bane getting his apprentice but then it starts over around chapter 19. I will definitely buy this and the Darth Plagueis one. But what we really need to discuss is why the fuck isnt there a show about Banes rise to power and Death. But Disney just lets all of this great work linger in literature
I personally feel like a series would probably be a better option since it could provide more time for fleshing out all three books in the Darth Bane trilogy (1 season for each book).

The holonet went down durring the republic dark age (like a star wars Y2K) so assumedly since the SWOTOR era was so technologically advanced all the histories were probably stored on the holonet. I undoubtedly view Darth Bane as the Sith'ari. I do see the point of 'the rule of two' however I can't argee it always the dark side to distill within the two. Otherwise either a: no one else CAN ever use dark side. Or b: as a new dark side user grows in power the others will feel themselves actually lose power.
I don't think he is being literal about the dark side being diluted with too many users. His point seems to be that you shouldn't waste time on those who are not worth training. That effort can be better spent improving your own knowledge and abilities.
@@nick0875 I agree. It seems to me that he wants to prevent the teachings of one powerful master to be spread between inferior apprentices who'd band together to kill him, therefore weakening the Sith as a whole. At bit like the state of the Sith empire in the SWTOR era. Many weak sith, a few moderately powerful ones (the Dark Council) and some truly overwhelmingly strong (Malgus, Jadus and above them, Vitiate)
@@arnauddika He outright states this at one point, that many weaker apprentices would team up to take down a stronger master, and then fight among themselves, with the winner being weaker than the slain master. By only having one master and one apprentice it at least guarantees (as far as possible, unless a master passes out drunk in front of a student lol) that to become master you have to at least believe themselves to have nothing more to learn and be the equal, if not superior.

Absolute drivel, sure some parts were wacky and out there, but polish up some of the storylines that follow chronologically and flesh out the universe with the parts that fit. Hell they had plenty of material to make a spin off series of the original Je'daii order, there are 2 books that depict force users 24,000 years before the events of the movies and they're Absolutely amazing. Imagine seeing gray force users how they're intended to be on the big screen? Je'daii going around helping people in their wars, wielding swords that glow with force energy, using the dark side after recieving grevious wounds to heal themselves, it would've been amazing.
@@SeviathTheHumanDrago I know what you mean, that's why I don't consider that Disney stuff canon (like a real fan) and just stick to the old stuff. He fought and suffered and mined a valuable ore known as cortosis for ORO company because it could resist blasters and even lightsabers. So he got big from doin this all his life. ORO sells this ore to the republic who of course has an outpost there. One day bane gets sent home for biting off the thumb of a dude named Gurd, even tho he was defending himself. So he finds the cantina and plays sabaak against the republic troops who r waiting for their ore to be loaded up over the next day or two. Gotta gamble and make money just to repay ORO at all cost of course. He wins because he can use the force obviosly, even tho he doesn't know it. The ensign who loses to him is furious and calls him a cheat before storming off. Later him and three of his buddies ambush des in the dark of the night. Unfortunately the ensign dies. But des realized he could somehow "see" the blade that was drawn on him through some mysterious force. But the others run and obviously alert the republic. Des is then forced to join the sith as a soldier, fighting on the front lines and rising through the ranks surprisingly fast. He finds a family he never had with his unit, the gloom walkers. When they get an order to do a suicide mission from one of the dark lords of the sith, des disobeys and punches lieutenant ulabore, knocking his bitch ass out cold. Yet even with a highly successful mission, des is court martialed and taken prisoner by the sith. They throw him into a pit, seemingly to let him die of starvation. But one of the dark lords notices him and the fantastic reports given by his comrades. Some reports that sound way too unbelievable. So he talks with des and tests him. Des passes and is welcomed into the sith academy on korriban as an apprentice. He takes the name of bane, a word his father used to call him by just for spite. Bane is immediately seen as a challenger, albeit one who doesn't know the force like the rest of the students and is still older than them. He advances and get challenged in the dueling ring quite often, winning some and losing some. It want this way until he fought foharg. Unfortunately he suffered a bitter loss. And when he tried again he lost again despite working for weeks. But then foharg fucked up and used banes name against him, calling hin the bane of the sith and a loser. Bane force choked the life outta the fool. But soon regretted it. He had never killed out of hate before, that he knew of at the time, and he subsequently lost his connection to the force. In desperation he called out the top student, siraak. It of course ended badly for him. It was githany who helped him. Restored his connection (for her own devious designs), helped him realize he wanted revenge.
Truly wicked awesome Series , I want more like this .
My personal head canon is that bane has been soul transferring and was actually pelagus. Palpatine learned of this and killed him before he could soul transfer into him. His plan became to perfect cloning and soul transfer into clones of himself. Anakin was a back up plan.
1. It takes Plagueis 150 years to kill his Master Darth Tenebrous....That is why Tenebrous takes on a new apprentice cause he thinks Plagueis is an abonination of the Rule of Two
2. Plagueis wants Palpatine to be his equal and hoping that they both rule the galaxy forever....
3. Plagueis claim that he is the Sithari while Darth Bane don't and let his actions speak for itself
Im so glad this ia still on here... I want part one soooo badly..

@@DanielGonzalez-dr7so Yet they still have history on Revan yet not Vititate?
@@LokiTheClever Yeah, I mean its a retcon is it really that hard to believe? They store everything in the form of data implied in the Bane novel but the sith library has old tomes which is what Bane likes to study from. What Bane knows about Revan prior to the holocron was written in books not on data. The holonet went down durring the republic dark age (like a star wars Y2K) so assumedly since the SWOTOR era was so technologically advanced all the histories were probably stored on the holonet. Also people in the star wars universe don't have the best track record of remembering what happened 20-30 years ago. Its a retcon answer, don't shoot me i'm just the messenger.
@@DanielGonzalez-dr7so Its your opinion unless you personally worked with the writers yourself.
This is correct
