This is by far the greatest video game movie I have seen period! While not a original story, it takes the two games and adds modern editing and the most perfect of music and visuals I have ever seen. This brings movie making to a whole different level that I did not think existed.
This video got randomly recommended to me and I have watched through the first 3 chapters and I can confidently say already that this video must be one of the best Star Wars videos to ever exist anywhere. Hands down one of the best, if not the best Revan lore video. The music, the narration, and the editing of many different sources into a seamless experience is the best I’ve seen in years. Well done and keep up the good work.
Ya I’m one of the many people that didn’t like what happened to Revan between KOTOR and the novel. But you did a phenomenal job putting all of these things together. I worked through my shift listening to this. I grew up with KOTOR and the original Xbox. Read all the Star Wars books before Disney made them “legends”. I was a total nerd but I loved the stories. I even got my wife into it when she was my gf. She fell in love with Revans story. We even named our first child Revan. You’ve done an awsome job. I’ve made it through the whole thing. My favorite part was listening to Bastila getting frustrated with Revan as he flirts with her.
Incredible. 9 hours of high quality content from the same person that made the Kreia: The Complete Story video - a vid I've watched 3 times over and loved every time. Keep this up if you can! Would love to get videos like this for other Old Republic characters.
It is done. I've watched the whole 9 hours of it. To start off, I want to thank you. I'm sure you've had your hardships on the road of making this big ass video and I really really appreciate your work here. I'm a very big fan of the Kotor games and the story of Revan (and of Revan himself) since I was a kid. I know the games pretty much through and through but this video was able to give me some new perspectives on what characters said and did in the games and I came to appreciate the story from anew at some parts. The editing, the overall narration and the writing of you are magnificent and played a big big role in constructing and maintaining the great atmosphere the whole way through this video. For example I really appreciated your thoughts about the Sith code (in Datacron 2 I believe), while Revan was looking for the last starmap on Korriban. I absolutely loved how you've edited the fights of Kotor 1, it was really refreshing and it is really astounding how much you did with this old games very repetitive move set. The action was vibrant and felt powerful. It was really entertaining. Especially the final fight against Malak. Also the sound mixing of this video is very well done. The changes in music (there never was a hard cut) and the reverb at the end of some voice lines from the games and from you has given emphasis to these parts and played well with the overall atmosphere and reinforced it. Even the parts near the end, where Revan didn't fully took part in, were really well done, and it never felt like filler. The whole video is consistent in quality and atmosphere, and made me remember again why Revan is so beloved by so many Star Wars fans. I myself found a new appreciation off his character after watching this. At the end, I can only congratulate you to this masterpiece. You've surpassed yourself, Sir! I'm very excited for what will come next, and I wish you well. And...(sorry for serving this cliché) May the force be with you. Always! PS: Is this a Neumann mic?! Jesus. I'm jealous. PPS: I am one of this 1% that have seen it. Just so you know.
I’ve watched this three times through. The last half … I don’t know how many times I’ve replayed it. Your narration and accent are incredible. Really nice craft work! I feel privileged that this now exists. Thank you!
For those who are unaware, the star forge is an irl concept known as a starlifter that skims metals formed inside the star. In THEORY metals inside a stars core, notably iron kills the star like cancer. So in theory with a single or several starlifters you can lengthens a stars lifespan by collecting the metals.
What a wonderful piece of star wars art. U managed to accomplish what disney star wars lacks so much of. My bigeest Respekt and thanks for the athmosphere you pulled me in
This was incredible. I've read every old republic book I could find including the Revan series, and I'm deep into SW:TOR these days. However, I've actually never played KOTOR or KOTOR II. Embarrassing, I know. Now I have the complete picture, I literally watched/listened to this in one sitting.
This might be the best video in youtube. Its 8 hours long it has subtitles without a issue you check every single detail with the subtitles. Images you used and the voice acting are incredible. Your knowledge and explaining things are awesome as well. You should be paid for this video mate. And its 8 hours long gods know how long it take to upload it. Nice work mate really nice work you deserve millions of views and subscribers
@@Noxxarian looking forward to it!!! I didn't even know the exile had a cannon name till this. Never even played TOR too since MMO's take time and I have zero with 3 kiddos. Thanks for expanding a part of MY childhood
I never would have thought a video about Revan would not only be this fantastic, fascinating, and well-made, but simultaneously a wonderful sleep aid when needed. Thank you ☺️
Oh. my. gosh. I was not expecting almost 9 hours of content! My mouth dropped when I saw the length! I am so excited to watch this! Now I have to decide if I want to start now, or be responsible and do homework in preparation for finals...
Thank you, Noxxarian. I've have fond memories of the first times I've watched the prequel & original trilogies, played the Force Unleashed, watched The Clone Wars series, and followed other media of where the franchise would go for the better or worse. 🟣 Revan is simply inspiring when I saw his strong & weak points in this entire storytelling video; reaffirming my love for Star Wars. 🔴 *MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. 🇵🇷*
I've read the revan books but not played the game. This filled in a lot of stuff I had no idea about. Great content. I listened while working. Great day because of your vid!!!
This is an outstanding narrative of Revan's life! I'm truly amazed by your hard work and dedication. Although Revan is considered to be canon, but his overall story to be considered legends, I would consider his entire life to be canon as he does pose an influence to Darth Bane who comes up with the rule of two which leads to the time of the prequels and forward. Similar to Anakin, Revan is the chosen one of his era. Him balancing both the light and dark sides of the force with the extent on being both sides, again much like Anakin. As someone who isn't considered to be a shipper, I felt that Revan shouldn't stayed with Bastila a little longer, but of course he left with a good reason. He needed to ensure the protection and save the galaxy. It was painful, at least to me, to see him being physically tortured by the emperor for 300 years which is definitely a very long time to withstand, and especially the fact that he would outlive his family and descendants for a few generations. However, since Revan is a complex character, he is able to overcome it with the use of his mind connected to the force. What is especially amazing is how he was able to defeat the emperor and his dark influence after more than 300 years. In the end, Revan succeeded as the chosen one of his era.
I loved KOTOR and KOTOR2 as a kid and even now, but i had no idea of the pre story to KOTOR or the intricacies of Suriks role or even what Revan was doing post KOTOR, i had no idea that the old republic mmo followed Revans story further though it makes sense in hindsight. I watched this full video in 1 go and i absolutely loved it, it gave me an even greater appreciation of the story in some of my favourite games. This is the story i would love to see made into a movie, though i guess that will never happen in an official capacity and so unreal cinema will have to suffice. I'm sure once they actually finish that it will be as amazing as one might hope. Great video, much love.
This was incredible. Omg. Obviously spaced it out over a couple of days 😂😂 this has me looking for all games that reference Revan. Thank you for the time you've taken to make these videos.
This is the best video about my favorite character in SW. Godspeed! I wonder if you gained anything aside joy of making the video itself from it, but still that's a big enough reward in itself
In my honest opinion, revan was a lesson of what to do and what not to do. He was a representation of the force in physical form. Overall, awesome video dude.
Absolutely underloved creator. Some of the very best details from Star Wars in such a well put together format. Thank you so much for the work you do, for the entertainment I get from it.
I know you asked us to, "…say something funny if you stuck around until the end," so I will he it is , "Something funny." This video is absolute perfection. I love the way that every Datacron separated what is a entire movie’s worth of knowledge. I love the way it gave exposition and depth to others in Revan’s life. I just love it in every aspect and have shared it with my friends who will also love it. 10/10
I appreciate you so much for this! I was one of those in the camp that hasn’t cared much for what they did with Revan’s story with the book and MMO… but you helped me feel something for it that I never had before and now I can at least appreciate it a lot more than I had before! Awesome job and thank you for working so hard to complete this! One last thing, I also have watched your Kreia video and it was perfection
From Knights of the Old Republic in 2003 to Echoes of Oblivion in 2017. Our journey with Revan spanned 14 years and I could not have forseen a more glorious end to it than this. If there's one thing I regret after seeing this, it's not being part of the journey from the start by having KOTOR back in 2003. I'm afraid I was only 5 years old at the time, unable to fully appreciate the game. Hell I didn't even know it existed until a couple years ago. If I was able to, and stuck fully with the story of the Old Republic-era games, maybe I would have truly immersed myself with all the glorious emotions every original KOTOR fan had when you had your own character witnessing the final end of the Sith Emperor alongside Revan, Meetra Surik and Scourge after we began the journey with them as children. I envy you. All of you who did. May the Force be with you. Thank you.
Man, this is just beautiful, thank you. KOTOR will forever be the real canon of SW. I would pay to watch your video instead of sequel trilogy, it's better in every way.
Okay... So first of all... Just wanted to say "wow". I've just seen the entire video in two sittings and honestly I've never seen a video that's had that much effort put in it's making. Overall, just nearly 9h of written script is a lot. I've played all of the Old Republic games, including quite a lot of the mmo content, but the entire Revan's timeline was always confusing to me and therfore I couldn't link everything in my mind. This video finally did the trick for me. The way you narrated the entire thing so extremely well, I could hear your passion, understanding and involvement to story and everything that was going on and the lore of the universe itself. What hit me the hardest while watching was the KOTOR 1 part. I can't believe you made my beloved, cluncky, wooden, 2004 made masterpiece into a thing that was watchable and not boring to me despite the fact that I have played it a million times over and over again. Those fihgting montages, camera movement... The sheer amount of work that must have been put in making of it is just mindblowing to me. I had some troubles with installing mods for it that fixed the resolution problems on modern monitors and yet you've achieved something that was just unimaginable to me. I also loved the fact, that you somehow managed to create a way for The Old Republic part of the video to fit the motives of an MMO, like the Revan raid (i might be mixing things here though since last time I played the game was 2016 if i remember correctly) and made it make some sort of sense despite it being an MMO, which I considered to be impossible. At the end I just wanted to say one more thing. Thank you, for your work and love that you have put in this video. Revan has been my favourite SW universe character since I first played KOTOR in about 2007, and I was always infuriated, that his character was not utilized more and therfore not that many of my friends knew who he was. Thank you, for creating such rich in lore and available in form video for the newer fans could reach it and find out about Revan and the Old Republic era. Thank you for showing, that there are more people among SW fans than angry muppets only able to hate, but also some, that can share their love for the franchise. And finally, thank you, for talking to me for nearly the whole day from the screen, It's been most pleasing experience. I wish you all the best, and cant wait to see some more of your videos in the near future.
Thank you very much for the comment. It means a lot, especially regarding those fight scenes which indeed did take forever, along with probably hundreds of game/ software crashes and tons of frustration, alongside many other details that might end up overlooked at times, but in the end it's all worth it when there's people who will appreciate the effort. I'm also very happy that the video came across in the way it did, especially on the part about The Old Republic. I feel that the storytelling failed us there a bit, but we have to make the best of it and not let it ruin all the good about the character before that point. I recently began working on the complete video for Meetra Surik, and despite not being as big as Revan (an likely not 9 hours lol) I do hope you'll enjoy that video too once it's out. Lastly, in case you want to chat about the video/lore or even look into ways of resolving those resolution problems, or discuss certain scenes/story moments, feel free to drop by on my saturday streams and we can chat! Once again, thanks for the comment. It most definitely improved my day significantly (and actually made me want to continue working on the next video ASAP!)
@@Noxxarian thanks a lot for replying! If I find the time I'll be sure to drop by your stream. I'm glad I could repay the favor, since this video made my day as well. Currently I want to watch the Kreia movie, but I'll sure be waiting for Meetra one as well. But be sure to take your time and don't feel pressured to finish it as fast as possible, we can wait for as long as you need
Wanted to write a quick update. After seeing both Revan and Kreia videos, I finally decided to buy both KOTORs (yep, it'll be my first play). I wanted to do it long ago, but I wasn't sure enough. I've been playing SWTOR for the last 6 years, I believe, but neither of the original KOTORs. So you really did inspire me!! For what I'm really grateful. Didn't finish Taris yet because of my greedy self (after SWTOR I search literally every corner). So thank you so much once again!
Exciting! Glad you're trying it out. Despite the old-style graphics, I do hope you enjoy it :) if you want to chat about it with me and other kotor fans, drop by on the Saturday streams (6pm CET) to hang out and chat about the game and your experiences!
@@Noxxarian oh I don't care about graphics that much, just downloaded some mods to make it work on bigger screen. And really do enjoy it! Already on Dantooine. Thanks for the invitation, I'll join y'all!!
For most of my life Revan has been my favorite Star Wars character. I played KOTOR on my Xbox when it released and I still credit it with being the game that made me a gamer. Watching this absolute masterpiece has been a pleasure beyond words. Thank you for your time, expertise and dedication to making this. Truly, thank you
As a Star Wars Fan, Im drilled, as a Video Editor im so fucking surprised that you recorded, gathered and edit 9 hours worth of footage from scrach, a fucking milestone dude this is so well done, im whe are not even taking about the script..
Kreia and Revan are my favorite star wars characters. They are SO well written. Kreia especially. She can be rude, yes... but she has much wisdom. Shes been scarred by thebstar wars universe, and it shows both physically and mentally. Ive played through both kotor 1 and 2 at least 20 times each. I love them. The music from them you used in this video makes me so nostalgic, man.
I can’t imagine the pain in Revan’s heart upon learning about what happened to Meetra, especially on the heels of Malak’s death too. His two best friends, one dead to the world and the other to the force. All because they listened to and followed his lead. Revan was a great man who let his intelligence and his pragmatism cloud his true strength, his compassion and empathy. Being capable of all of those things at such a high level as him would be a heavy burden indeed.
I love seeing people passionate about something they love and putting a lot of effort into something like this. I always get shut down or told i care to much about something so unimportant like star wars. I am glad there are more people like me that care so much about something they enjoy and feel they can express it.
Jesus, the amount of time and effort you put into this. This level of detail and immersion is so rare on SW TH-cam and you've just cemented yourself as one of the best
I'm going to spend the next week watching this video. Thank you so much for putting this together. I'm sure we (as viewers) really don't know the effort you put into this. You must be a true fan. Best!
Simply...Thank you. Revan means so much to me as a character and this video is just spectacular. Seeing KOTOR get the love it deserves makes me so happy
Utterly fantastic. I fell in love with KotOR years ago and Revan has been my favorite character in the Star Wars universe ever since. I have the book and I have played the MMO for years as well. This is the best production I have ever seen. Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into this.
This got recommended to me probably because I love binging a channel's "total story compilation" type vids. I'm also a die-hard SW/Revan fan, and I absolutely love the way you've crafted this. I'm at chapter 6 right now, and I'm having almost as fun with the KotoR story as I do playing the game.
i love the video. revan is my favourite character in the star wars universe and i love the fact you included the novel in the story. keep up the good work
Oh man, the fact that you NAILED the idea(s) of why people fall to the darkside in the Star Wars mythos, specifically around 5:10:45 calling upon the experiences Revan has seen in the events of the game, got to me. KOTOR 1 and 2 were such an elegant and well balanced depiction of the flaws and strengths of both sides of the force, as well as the teachings of the Jedi and Sith. Well done!
This is an amazing work of art!! Heck there were scenes from KOTOR that I wasn’t even aware of (Juhani and Jolee at the same time on the Levitation; Carth’s initial scene on Taris; even an altered crew reveal of Revan, plus the usage of an additional party at the same time on the Star Forge)! All in all well done!!
Came across this and I just have to say the production value for this project is staggeringly good. A labor of love to be sure, your hard work is appreciated. This video is absolutely fantastic.
There is one item. When I played KOTOR, I managed to save Yuthura Ban and return her to the light. She went back to Dantooine. I applaud the extraordinary effort you made to produce the Video. Very Well done.
So this is like the lore of the entire series of video games? I didn't play kotor myself and at first I thought to myself this is going to be like 9 hours of garbage. boy was i wrong! This is the best TH-cam movie i have ever seen, brah you have invented a ton of time in this video and it shows. Take my sub good sir and well done.
i cleared a whole work day and stayed for it all. yaaas 1%! im also new here and staying for this fantastic content! thank you so much for doing this, and you did an amazing job!!
Currently at 8:56:06. That is the best, the most interesting lore video I have ever not even seen but experienced. After 3 days, I reckon, I finally finished it. It is truly a masterpiece. Not to mention Revan alone is the most interesting character for me. I'm so happy I saw this video in my recommendations. That's exactly what I wanted and needed. Thank you so much for you work! It'd be great to see such long videos about Nihilus or Malgus. But I don't actually know if there's enough information about them for such a span. I also think the history of the Rakatan Empire would be cool! Even if neither of those - keep going! You're grean, man! Thanks again!
I've been a subscriber of yours for a while now and just wanted to drop a note to thank you for making these long form videos. I love to sit and watch them or listen to them when I am playing games, (oddly enough swtor). I really like these and really hope you keep them up. I appreciate it takes alot of time and energy to do these and want you to know that it is a pleasure to watch. Thank you again.
Would just like to say thank you so much for this video. Revan has always interested me as a character and now I’ve got this to understand him, the effort is much appreciated
Honestly thabks so much for this, I even stopped at the point where I was the beginning of the SW TOR revan book and finished it, and I definitely needed more after finshing it and man was I glad you're video concluded revans story, thank you so much for your hard work truly 🔥🔥🔥
Took me a solid long weekend to get through the entire thing, but ooh boy what a great time it was! Masive kudos on the project! I already can't wait for my inevitable re-watch down the line. Standing ovations all around.

@@stephenkuchler951 Love this comment
Revan was a perfect blank slate character. Easy to imagine yourself as him. And such a great supporting cast
Isn’t that such a weird but cool aspect? Sorta gives me the same vibes as V from Cyberpunk
Incredible. 9 hours of high quality content from the same person that made the Kreia: The Complete Story video - a vid I've watched 3 times over and loved every time. Keep this up if you can! Would love to get videos like this for other Old Republic characters.
@@Noxxarian well I personally am happy it doubled in length this is amazing!
The production value of this video is through the roof, and it is 8 damn hours long, I’m incredibly impressed
Almost 9 hours
Thank you for this video and the story of Kreia! Keep making content and ill be here to consume lol
Thanks! :) more coming soon! I hope :D
5:46:57 "And in the end, as the darkness takes me... I am nothing"
7:19:50 "... Now I know how you felt, my friend."
And...(sorry for serving this cliché)
May the force be with you. Always!
PS:
Is this a Neumann mic?! Jesus. I'm jealous.
PPS:
I am one of this 1% that have seen it. Just so you know.
I’ve watched this three times through. The last half … I don’t know how many times I’ve replayed it.
Your narration and accent are incredible. Really nice craft work! I feel privileged that this now exists.
Thank you!
An honor to watch. Amazing.
I'm the opposite, I've played the games but not read the books. I'll be putting that right asap
Play the games. They're still great even if you know the plot.
13:27. don't mind me, just marking where i last watched so i can continue watching this incredibly underrated video.
I just spent my entire day off work watching this. What a treat.
Thanks so much :) glad to hear you enjoyed it. Another one is in the works, on surik, hoping to have it done in a few months!
@@Noxxarian looking forward to it!!! I didn't even know the exile had a cannon name till this. Never even played TOR too since MMO's take time and I have zero with 3 kiddos. Thanks for expanding a part of MY childhood
Thanks so much for this!
The amount of times I've listened & fell asleep to this is unrevanly.
*MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. 🇵🇷*
8+hours well spent... Best documentary I've ever watched... Tying up the novels with the games and other sources into 1.
Never played TOR but man... seeing Surik in the updated graphics and hearing her voice brought a smile to my face.
The subtle edits of Kreia's teachings in Revan's mind gave me CHILLZ
I wasn't expecting bro to be Revan man, fricking sick plot twist!
You sir have just cemented yourself as my favorite Star Wars TH-camr. Incredible work!
couldn't agree more
Wanted to write a quick update.
Fantastic video. Made some popcorn and watched it as a movie series over a few nights. Very well done.
Truly, thank you
The lack of KOTOR content really highlights how special this is. We all want it but this makes up for it in so many ways. Truly amazing. Great work
As a Star Wars Fan, Im drilled, as a Video Editor im so fucking surprised that you recorded, gathered and edit 9 hours worth of footage from scrach, a fucking milestone dude this is so well done, im whe are not even taking about the script..
Thank you for this absolutely masterpiece, Revan is one of the most well written characters in the entire franchise
FINALLY A TRUE GAMER
I loved learning the entire story of Revan! So many things I thought I knew, but I knew nothing. Nothing, before this video. Thank you ❤
Watched the Kreia one first. Im listening to this at work. Since I work overnight it’s perfect.
This compilation is amazing, and I cannot imagine how much work you must have put into it. Thank you so much for taking me on this journey
Holy 9 hours…. I have been waiting for this for about a year and good sir you did not disappoint. Phenomenal work!
I love seeing people passionate about something they love and putting a lot of effort into something like this. I always get shut down or told i care to much about something so unimportant like star wars. I am glad there are more people like me that care so much about something they enjoy and feel they can express it.
Dude….. you did AMAZING! As someone who didn’t play the games…..I SO appreciated this! Excellent job!
Yowza, goodness gracious me. This masterpiece about Revan is honestly the best youtube video I've ever watched.
Truly great work. You deserve alot more subs and they will come. The only thing holding you back is people finding you
Prob one of my fav videos on TH-cam, thanks for taking the time to create this and passion you put into it
Like Malak, my Jaw dropped after watching this. Great stuff!
This us by far the most detailed and well narrated fan made video ive ever seen. Extremely well done. Thank you for making this!
Best!
Thank you for the kind words :) I hope your week ended up being interesting :D
Simply...Thank you. Revan means so much to me as a character and this video is just spectacular. Seeing KOTOR get the love it deserves makes me so happy
Hearing the parts of when Revan’s son would talk to Bastilla about his father brought a tear to my eye
Utterly fantastic. I fell in love with KotOR years ago and Revan has been my favorite character in the Star Wars universe ever since. I have the book and I have played the MMO for years as well. This is the best production I have ever seen. Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into this.
This is one of my favourite and THE BEST Star Wars lore channel
As a mega fan of the Old Republic Era, I thoroughly enjoyed this! Great work. Watching it all unfold was quite the journey.
Well done!
Thanks!
Love the use of old world of Warcraft vanilla music from the original game, as if kotor wasn’t enough nostalgia. TYVM for the great work
I watched this whole thing in the span of 3 days. I loved this! I feel caught up now with Revans journey! Thank u so much!
@@Noxxarian In SWTOR, I seem to recall a Yudira Ban on the Imp side, I think it was the Black Talon mission.
The amount of work that went into this video is incredible. Thank you for your work!
9 hours showing the potential this universe has. Potential that is currently squandered.
Wow, I watched this all in one day. My soul is drained. But I can say this is some quality content, well done!
4:34:26 This is my favorite touch you made to the video
"I gotta tell ya, it was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute details."
Amazing almost 9 hours long. I could only imagine how long this took to make. Thank so much. Legendary.
This will probably go down as my favorite video/content I consumed in 2023. Thank you for this
