Have you ever heard the joke about bananas and the Marines? I pissed many Marines off with this joke. The joke goes, "Why are Marines like bananas? They first start out green, then turn yellow, and die in bunches.". Marines can't really talk shit to me even at the VA clinics once they see my AIRBORNE shit from the Army. I can claim to be a real Paratrooper with old pictures on my phone and videos from my reunion jumps with veteran buddies from my Airborne Infantry Battalion. Practically no one talks to me when I show up for my appointments unless they are old Paratroopers, SF, and Ranger guys, especially if they have their CIBs. We have a good time and have lunch or breakfast together as Army guys when we see each other. Fucking love the drama with these guys who avoid me and the other Army Paratroopers.. LOL!!!

I don't think you understand the true glory of this nation's great marine corps. Of course an army boy like you would never understand how only the few and proud are able to finish marine corps basic training! THE hardest military training out of any military on EARTH. You just wouldn't get it...
As a former Marine, I could not stand the Marine ego. Like yeah, we ran some laps, did the O course, a few pull-ups, and let's not forget about how we learned to karate chop and fall down on a bed of shredded rubber car tires. And no running unless we're doing PT. Power walk only. Wouldn't wanna trip, fall down, and hurt ourselves. We're definitely the creme of the crop. Lol the ONLY stressful part of MCRD is the mental fuckery and doing things 'by the numbers'
It's all fun and games until the Space Force starts raining Drop Troopers or creates Space Marines~ Might even consider trying out (heavy emphasis on "might" and "consider" 🤣)
