Now your the best youtube video maker
the BS is why I left. I gave them 110% and they gave me 10ish.....if you squint a lot No lie, I had a fractured tail bone and after I found out I'm coming back and I get a call to report to the main building where they have full formation for 2/6 Charlie where I get called out to stand front in center and they ripped of my rank told me how little my service ment read me a article 15 for malingering and dereliction of duty. I waited till he ordered me to do pushups and handed him my new orders and smirked replying negative sir, I am unable to comply with that order. Much love to you and yours
Ohio, you forgot Ohio. When you want that Abrams fixed......you find out just like everybody else when you need parts repairs etc. that and we have a purrrrty awesome amount of things like the179th and screw Area 51 ufos we got ET at Wright Pat in a freezer somewhere
@7:07 Wow there brother, we take our crazy lil shit hole seriously......at least in Germany I don't get an Art 15 for buying my brother a damn beer after deployment for not being 21, sooo yeah our base was sooooo awesome that DOD closed it down after OIF. I might be a crunchie but pretty sure Ukraine proved a bunch of drunk grunts with CLU's deserves better than a D. Besides have you ever been to Ausfart Germany?
Mmmm no one is airborne for the measly extra $150 😂 we just like shitting on everyone else
TX and Cali, TX soldiers have a deep pride in their state and country. Id say any state from the South period to be honest, its apart of our culture.
As a kansan, I’m offended
theres a way to handle chad's
My father retired in 1968 as an MSG, he thought that the whole new E-9 rank was a joke. He saw the CSM as another old guy drinking coffee and telling war stories. When I enlisted in 1972 I saw the CSM as a cigar smoking, nitpicking guy, drinking coffee and telling war stories. I see not much has changed since my father’s day and my day’s.
Yep, spot on with all your topics. I tell people to not join the military and if you do, don't join the infantry. I did my 10 years in the infantry and was shamed for even going to sick call. And I love what the Army did for me and especially the intangible lessons that the infantry taught me. But now, its not worth it.
I was a Cpl Squad Leader in my Mortar PLT. As much as I loved training killers you cant have killers if you dont listen to them.
This is great! Great examples as to the reasons on why I got out. I don't miss the service but I sure do miss the people.
If your asking your leadership if you can go to sick call your not hurt enough. Your health should be your priority. I was ridiculed and shamed for going. Leadership pretty much labeled me a shitbag. But if I hadn’t of gone I would have been injured further and their would have been no evidence for the VA rating I have today.
As an army combat vet (infantry) i got out after 7 years because its gone woke and gay
The infantry is broken because they decided to let women join to fit an agenda
The mission should be METL achieved. Too many officers had something to prove instead of proving their unit could achieve their METL. Platoon leader time should be longer. Former infantry officer.
great breakdown
Lmfao the way you said A for 82nd made me crack the fk up. Loved my time there because of people (leads and peers). Fayettenam wasn't that great but good people in a unit can really carry a bad location most times.
I will disagree. The best unit was the 3rd US Inf Reg (The Old Guard). The worst unit was 321st FA.
why not just make them all air assault
holy shit maybe i shouldn’t sign up
Pete Hegseth should fix everything this year.
@ no he won’t he’s jewish
Ive been saying this for years.... the DOD needs to seriously look at the Infantry as a whole. The entire career field needs a revamp, nutrition/performance coaching and education, marksmanship training, culture, leadership training... at least at the brigade or battalion levels. a team specializing in human performance can rotate between each battalion and can have those briefings 2x a month. Every Infantry Brigade needs their own gym... and allotted time to actually workout, stop breaking your guys off during runs and rucks, it doesnt make sense. Id even bring in contractors (former SOF) to train Grunts on marksmanship and tactics as well, reeducate NCOs/Officers.. the Marines I believe already have this program.. the Army doesn't. Lastly, the DOD or Army must reprioritize the Infantry being the main effort, while still modernizing the force... SECDEF needs to get involved, hes a former Grunt I hope he actually helps (when technology fails, who will they send... The Infantry
Truth
Pa needs a mention. A quarter of my basic training battery was Pa and those guys were all either football players or corn fed wrestlers. Pt gods and the 28th id is legit as fuck for an infantry unit. Pa also has the only tacp and cct unit in the air guard. We deploy a fuck ton too
Whats your experience with soldiers from West Virginia?
How about a country boy vs city boy, ha ha.
Funny how times and deployments change. I was in 1AD (2002-07). We had mission focus, good leadership, and most importantly we loved to dip Copenhagen and break shit, ha ha. Got a few buddies from Vicenza who were stationed there at the same time and they're SOLID! CHARLIE MIKE, Brother
Baumholder 2/6 much love brother! (06-10) well it continued the same till I was gone at least LOL
When I went to boot I didn’t think I was gonna get paid for it at all. Atleast during boot. My whole family was navy except the one uncle that was infantry during ‘Nam. So I didn’t know wtf I was getting myself into. It didn’t even cross my mind income wise. Came out from 3 months with 4k in my bank account and I thought that was incredible lmao. It’s actually 🎉funny looking back. Horrible pay but it is what it is and it ain’t what it ain’t I guess. Just grueling hours for maybe what a dollar an hour? Hail oh infantry though
What about Mexicans and Puerto Ricans
solid soldiers as well for sure.
25th ID needs to be a Jungle unit the way 10th Mountain is a mountain unit. They will be vital in a Pacific conflict, and we all know how tough jungle warfare can be.
Never have I thought about joining and here I am in the infantry. Sand Hill is a god-forsaken place!!!
Stern but fair. Good rankings.
WTF happened to the NCO corps? I had a CSM in the 82nd that would meet with all incoming NCO’s and tell them all this; “The NCO Creed got one thing WRONG! It’s should read Soldiers FIRST, Mission Always. Because if you take care of your Soldiers they will always accomplish the mission.” CSM Flowers lived that, and was the best NCO I ever served with out of my time in the Marines or the Army. Yea I was Infantry in both.
Have Senior NCO’s really become such weak links? The NCO trains the Army, not the Officer, has that been lost? Your job as an NCO is to push your rank as far as you can without losing it taking care of your Soldiers. And what the hell happened to Unit SOP’s? That’s what determines who is number one in the door, but who is number one is irrelevant once the unit is trained because everyone knows every position in the stack. Are CSM’s, and 1SG’s really this weak now?
I was on chapel hill at benning, they made sand hill sound like a supermax prison lol
Louisiana S rating. Sere school is just normal life hurricanes, flooding, mosquitoes everywhere, swamps, mres since I was a kid, eat anything including alligators, survive New Orleans murder capital city of the USA, hunting and fishing is life.
Yep I’m sticking with joining Air Force
It’s good for money, but the air force is for the weak.
What do you think about MN? We've got a decent size National Guard, but i dont know if many of us made it to active infantry. Still eager to hear your thoughts
I haven't really worked with MN Soldiers, but I'd imagine they'd be A tier. Basically the same philosophy as the upstate NY guys or Iowa!
Too many memes, not enough conversation on the topic. Good video, just sharing my opinion for future endeavors if it means anything
Chad culture sucks but I guess I could say I'll see where it has a place in the military where it builds a competitive and one-upmanship nature which is good for people that you want to go win a war. You want toxic masculinity for lack of a better term or an abundance of testosterone. It's man's nature to want to outdo each other.
Underestimate us if you want. Has it went well for anybody that's tried it before. Ask the Japanese
1st, thanks for your service and making this vid. 2d, F-you 101 is S tier because Rakkasans are a thing lol. 3d, love you all, porch light is always on, gueat room always made up. Ill always be in awe of the fact that I served in an Army with Titans like yall!
You know what I really hate right now that I’m active duty how lower enlisted is treated like trash of course soldiers hid. I literally see NCOS throw their trash on the ground and in the trucks and tell soldiers basically police call and clean up after them while cussing you out it’s 0 respect that’s the most disrespectful shii you can do that’s the type of shii makes me want to get in some trouble luckily I have a family
WOLFHOUNDS!!!
Hey Danny check this out, I served in the 1st Ranger Bn when it was on Ft. Stewart, before we moved to HAAF in Savannah, then I PCS'd to the 1st Bn 509th Airborne in Vicenza Italy, I returned stateside to Ft. Campbell and lucked out into the Pathfinder Co, while it was still on jump status. I also spent 2 years instructing at the original Air Assault School, I then returned to Vicenza with the 4th Bn 325th Airborne, I retired E-8 with the 82nd, all 11-Bravo grunt time, the only " LEG" time I did was basic and ait at FT. Benning, Tabbed with 3 types of wings, CIB with star and 3 PH awards, INFANTRY ( RANGER) AIRBORNE all the way, I did all of that because my Drill Sarge in basic was 173rd in Vietnam and I wanted to be just like him !!!!
California has the most funded and biggest national guard in the country. Most of our soldiers perform extremely well per active duty evaluations and are preferred/selected over our Texas counterparts for mobilizations to combat zones. Not my words just my experience.
What does the data say lol.... Cali has more assets for sure but in terms of pride and performance... Id argue that.. the politics are deeply rooted in the Cali guard lol....
I want to join cali ng. Hiw do you become a marksman?
Congrats Bro! So I guess it's Cornell and not Princeton right?
I believe that warm weather & outdoor friendly states such as CA, TX, CO make a solid grunt
See I’m a conservative Californian… while all my liberal brethren go fuck up your states the people like myself who believe in God, guns, and the constitution can rebuild our once great state.
