Omg I wanted to do this to my big red 20 years ago but the old guy I hung out with and helped me with my projects when I was younger talked me out of it, I could vision exactly what you have now but my buddy said I'd ruin a good 3 wheeler. It's long gone now.
I hear what he was saying but I don't think I ruined anything. The frames we started with were so rusted out that no one was going to touch them. They would have just sat and rotted away to rust. I think I saved them :)
Please feel free to ask any questions. I will try my best to either answer in the comments. It would really help me out if you could share this video on your social media and subscribe to the channel. If you are interested in all that, I am really thankful! Thanks again!
Want a donor 3 wheeler? I got a 86 350X that I wanted to convert but the fabrication shop that used to produce a kit never came through for me. I was thinking of contacting BVC Trikes and see if they have a kit available.😒
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS So back in the late 80's early 90's there was a 2-wheel conversion called Missle. Back in 2013 I found one of my old 3-wheeler magazines and I saw the add. I tried to call the number it was no longer in service. I searched the address, and I found a business card of a black smith. I emailed them and it was the person that made the kits! I asked for one. A year past. I emailed again. I was told in 3 months they would contact me. I never heard from them again. After I posted my reply above, I figured I would look up Missle 2-wheel conversion kit. BAM!!! Looks like they are back in business and the kit price is $700 more than I was quoted. It sure would have been nice if these are the same folks if they got back in touch with me! Oh well. When I have an extra $2k I might purchase a kit. Thanks!
They handle surprisingly well. You definitely know the fat tires are there but once you understand their personality, they are very fun and well mannered trail bikes.
Sorry not for the 90s and 110s. A kit would basically be the entire bike. It would need to be a custom frame, swingarm, hubs, body panels, seat, handlebars etc. Basically the only thing a person could re-use on their bike would be the engine and gas tank 😁 There is a kit available for a 250R and 350x called the "Missle Kit" you may be interested in. Thanks!
It could be done but you would need to do an engine swap with something that had electric start. But at that point you would need to make new motor mounts and swap the wiring harness out it would be a lot less work to just find a later ATC that has electric start.. It would be a fun project though to do a swap. I have done something similar in the past. A lot of work :)
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS I will look around in my shed. I think I have a 110 crankcase, but not sure if it has electric start.. finding an old honda twin would be cool.. my old shoulder cant take that pull start much more., its a beast.. also, what abt putting a kickstart on in place of the pull start? is that an option.,, ? thanks
if not I may have to find a hill to park on, then push start it.. ha it usually starts 2nd or 3rd pull, but it hurts.,.,ha im 315 lbs and strong but not a young buck anymore. it has that little compression release lever on the head, but theres no cable hooked up, I usually turn it upward with my hand., not sure if this is helping.
There are a lot of Chinese Honda knock off engines out there that have electric start. They are the smaller 70cc style engine that is in the ATC70 and Trail 70s. A person could make some engine mounts to fit one of those engines in a 90 or 100 frame. There are a lot of folks out there that have done it. I have a Chinese 125cc engine in my Trail 70. It has kick start and electric start.
@@cadespencer6320, that would be a beast!!! I am thinking a person could get the swingarm and axle off of something like a ATC250R, 300X or another suspended ATC. That would be a good starting point I'd think. I think there are a lot of guys who do that and race them. Probably can find a lot of videos on youtube. Best of luck!!!
It would probably be a lot easier than the 90s or 110s to build but I don't know if I would want to ride one with much more power than the 110. Those wide tires can be pretty unpredictable :)
Here is a video of my white conversion and my buddy's fat cat. Not quite the same but similar idea. th-cam.com/video/_dhlQ_XTSYI/w-d-xo.html Thanks for stopping by!

What would you charge to do this with a donor ATV?
@@HappyHands. It would be a lot lot 😁 It took a half year worth of long weekends to build 😁
I've spent the better part of my life riding 3 wheelers by choice.
I've also ridden a fatcat.
But that thing, looks mental! Nicely 👍👍👍
It's "unique" I'll say 😁 but it has a mind of it's own with those wide tires 😁
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS yeah I imagine it's something like a mechanical bull? 🐂
That thing looks like a lot of fun

How much is it to do the conversion on the 110cc 3wheeler
Sorry, I don't plan on building or selling them. Thanks for watching though!
Is it possible to buy a conversion kit now
